Vincent and Darcy look down at Jess. Darcy is a blubbery, teary-eyed mess while Vincent looks unamused. Vincent starts to say "Good morning" but is interrupted by Darcy who exclaims " Oh, thank gosh!"

Excerpt from a comic i started and didnt finish about the graveyard shift that turned Jess into a vampire. The other two are Darcy and Vincent, who become her roommates for the next 30 odd years.

Comic page. First panel has Jess and a mysterious hooded figure looking up at the Frankenstein-themed sign above the horror section of the video store they're in. Jess extends a hand dramatically and shouts "Behold!". In the next panel, Jess stands with a hand on her hip , proudly patting the vhs tapes on the shelf as she says "My pride and joy right here... I've seen (and copied) every tape on these sacred shelves at least three times -- Now vampire wise we've got several Dracula features: Horror of Nocturna, Love at First Bite..." her explanation fades into the background in the third panel as the mysterious hooded figure asks "Dracula, you say?"

Comic page. Two vampires in black cloaks (Vincent and Darcy) sit on the floor of the video store over Jess, who has just woken up from being bitten. Vincent has shoulder length black hair and a weak van dyke beard. Darcy looks like Nosferatu with cute eyelashes. In the first panel, vincent pinches the bridge of his nose, saying "Darcy, please." Darcy says "Sorry, go on..." with an apologetic expression. Panel 2, Vincent says "You know what? I'm tired, So I'm going to just cut to the chase. We're vampires". Panel 3, Jess is still on the floor, looking shell-shocked. She says "vampires" at the same time as Vincent. Panel 4, Jess shoots up to sitting while Darcy holds her hand, she looks excited as she exclaims "Real. Actual. Vampire--MMNF" She's cut off by the pain from the bite in her neck. Panel 5 her hand jumps to the bite and her face screws up in surprised agony. In the final panel, Jess looks confused at her own hand. Vincent looks to Darcy and says "Looks like she's got it. Why did you need me again?" Darcy to Jess says "Oh, my dear, please do be careful."

She was a video store clerk in the 80's when she was bitten. Incidentally, she is a big vampire movie nerd so she used that as an excuse to lean into it. If things had gone differently, she would have become a professional clown and been just as happy.

Jess rests her cheek on her hand with a curmudgeonly expression. She has a speech bubble containing a tweet from user nibiru_TRUTH that says "people nowadays care more about smartphone apps than they do about dracula"

Jess again, this time she's human. Her hair is messy and bleach blonde. She wears clown makeup with blue dot eyebrows, a red triangle nose, blush, and painted on lower lashes. She wears a puffy flower shaped neck ruff and loose red top.
