After a considerable bit of futzing with the thingy to get it to recognize an in-the-ballpark birthplace, here's what I got. I kind of like it?
Great girls’ day out with family, puttering around the Annapolis Valley. Many tasty ciders were bought, and a bottle of Blueberry Grunt moonshine. Also some pretty little sparkly things from a vintage sale!
The grand finale! Diamine Inkvent Day 25: Myrrh the Merrier, a teal ink with blue shimmer and red-purple sheen. I will try to do some swatching of all 25 once I’ve figured out where I put my dip pens. 😁
Apropos of absolutely nothing at all, here’s today’s page from my excellent @effinbirds.com calendar.
Diamine Inkvent Day 24: Antler, a brown pigment ink. Good for workaday use? :)
Yet another twofer! Diamine Inkvent Day 22 - Pineapple Spritz (mustard yellow pigmented chameleon ink) Diamine Inkvent Day 23 - Let it Snow (turquoise ink with chameleon shimmer) Cannot believe I am nearly at the end of the calendar, only two more to go!
Diamine Inkvent Day 21: Chaos, which I am told is a dark purple with extreme green sheen. Very dramatic!
Having (mostly) got over my snit about hockey, another Diamine Inkvent twofer: Day 19 - Overcast (a light blue with pink hints) Day 20 - Ambience (tomato red with orange shift)
Another twofer: Diamine Inkvent Day 17 - Gala (lavender purple) and Day 18 - Gala (dark blue green with lots of red shimmer). Looking forward to trying the Gala ink especially!
Diamine Inkvent Day 16: Ruby Taffeta, which I am told is a dark red ink with chameleon shimmer. I love it even before I’ve put it in a pen. 😁
Diamine Inkvent Day 15: Frostbite, a dark blue ink with light blue shimmer. Right in my wheelhouse! 😁
A two-for-one today (was mesmerised by the men’s skating last night and lost track of time): Diamine Inkvent Day 13 - Molten Basalt (dark blue with brown tones) and Diamine Inkvent Day 14 - Mittens (a cheerful bright pink with some lilac tones).
Diamine Inkvent Day 12: Bubbly, a light olive green with lots of gold shimmer. I am given to understand that it looks exactly like champagne. 🍾🍾🍾😁
Diamine Inkvent Day 11: Brrr!, a “pigmented blue ink with shimmer”.
Diamine Inkvent Day 10: Nostalgia, a maroon chameleon ink. I’m told it has shades of gold, pink, and red as well as some shimmer!
Diamine Inkvent Day 9: Bittersweet, which appears to be a very pretty green (the colour of leaves in early summer).
Diamine Inkvent Day 8: Dream Catcher, billed as a dark blue ink with EXTREME red sheen. Will be interesting to see this one on paper!
Diamine Inkvent Day 8: I’m told this a very nice blush pink. A good one to save for springtime?
Diamine Inkvent Day 6: Fir and Fog. Description says “dark grey-green chamelon shimmer ink” with pink shimmer, like pine trees in mist. Appropriate for this part of the world!
Diamine Inkvent Day 5: Marie Rose, which I understand is a bright gold ink. (I am choosing to think of it as Moira Rose.)
Diamine Inkvent Day 4: Smoky Tobacco, which appears to be a medium to darkish brown. The bottle tells me it’s scented (?!). Perfect for writing a tiny noir detective story, maybe? 😁
Diamine Inkvent Day 3: Carousel, the brightest of bright and cheerful reds. A good colour for a grey and gloomy day. ☺️
Diamine Inkvent Day 2 - a wee bottle of Energy, which i am told is a purple ink with golden-green sheen. Looking forward to trying this one, though I need better paper to take advantage of the sheening properties!
I have managed to save my Diamine Inkvent calendar for the start of February - can’t wait to see what treasures await! Day 1’s ink is a 15 ml bottle of Celestial Skies - looks to be a shimmery/sparkly teal blue. (May try swatching it later, if I get ambitious enough to clean out one of my pens.)
