We are in a 15th-floor condo right above the Fairmont. You can see it in this pic.
Exhibit at the Hong Kong Museum of History. #avgeek goodness. I know this is the kind of quality content that folks like @airlineflyer.net are after. Make sure your sound is on - this sucker is loud!
What in the hell is this? Off the coast of Busan, South Korea. We’re making a lot of Trojan horse jokes.
This is the 5th wireless alert pushed to my phone in the 5 days we’ve been in Korea. The other ones were a warning about a gas leak in the Seoul subway, an all clear, and 2 ‘Amber Alerts’ for missing elderly people. This one suggests our first full day in Busan might not include much beach time.
@jonostrower.com was pretty clear about that. Even said they'd be painted in Hawaiian colors
According to Google Translate, our robo toilet in Seoul wishes to deliver ‘Happy’ to its users. 🧐
Let’s go to Seoul! YVR is my favorite for connecting to Asia. So easy! Flying Air Canada’s version of the purple seats today… IYKYK
My first real job was as a cashier at ShopKo (sort of a regional version of Target) in 1995. Minimum wage in Washington was $5.15 i think, but the hiring manager gave me a 25-cent bump because I was an honor student.
This reminds me of a decade ago when I was in the LH First Class Lounge in MUC and there was....historical content on the tv.
I’m gold on the 777-9 and have caught 5 out of 6 of the test birds. Not so good on the MAX 10 - they don’t venture out as far.
And then there’s daily challenges. For example, I just “traveled” to XNA to then catch this flight between Chicago and Dallas (one of today’s challenges).
@erniebufflo.bsky.social checked out a new raw bar in Rino for lunch (called Fin ‘N Tonic). Lots of great food. Oysters were Calm Cove from WA. Very tiny but tasty. They had mignonette “pearls” - cool idea, but I’d rather taste the mign without having to bite down. Also, little bits of shell in 🦪.
Only urinal in commercial aviation, as far as I know. I got to fly LH F on the A380 last year. (To be fair, the urinal is probably less exciting for @themiddleseatview.bsky.social...)
We have one that we bought in 2021 that will be paid off in two months. Got this license plate frame on Etsy. Wouldn't buy another Tesla today (even though it's a great car). Would probably pick a Kia EV9.
