Was on Monocle Radio last Friday talking about sound of heatwaves in London and listening practice a way to rethink our approach to climate crisis. On at 10mins monocle.com/player/?uuid=e6127ab7-b81e-456b-893c-a8d600215365%2C0f0ce1c1-23b1-48a2-84a1-ab8a012011f4%2C7a6dc61e-b10b-46af-ac24-b48300bc692e
I'll be in London this Saturday 11 July talking heatwaves and sound for this workshop at London’s Climate Story Bank. Last day of the exhibition so come down to @recessedspace.bsky.social x Hypha Studios. Eventbrite here: www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/sound-disc...
First time at Jupiter Artland, worth it for the Charles Jencks alone
Fitting day to read All Hands On Deck by @jgo4444.bsky.social. at 50 pages it’s a refreshingly clear and honest climate action book amongst a sea of others. And a stark reminder of Starmer’s legacy of criminalising protest
Disappointing news, especially after seeing this aerial shot from Keira McLean showing how developers took the roof off the church a few years ago and left it to ruin. www.instagram.com/p/DZpyV83ooq5/
3 upstairs at Florence Street Gallery Joanna Piotrowska show focused on bodies
2 that thread of military industry being so close to the everyday continued with RIVER Is/As by 16 Collective and there wider show about the Clyde
Back in Glasgow and checking out Glasgow International and Fringe events. 1 Castles in the Sand by Raydale Dower evoking the materials and images of WW2 bombers, shelters and sirens
Thanks to everyone who came to the opening of London’s Climate Story Bank at @recessedspace.bsky.social x Hypha Studios last week. My sound piece with Andrey Chugunov, Fetch The Engine, is on as part of the exhibition until 11 July www.instagram.com/ldnclimatest... Photo by @robfiehn.bsky.social
Loving the "Huff and Puff Chapel" installation in Venice by artist Hugh Hayden Photo: Jacopo Trabuio
Next month I'm putting on a sound art installation with artist Andrey Chugunov for London’s Climate Story Bank - an exhibition about how the climate crisis is affecting London and Londoners. PV 4 June at One Poultry. Opens 5 June - 11 July 2026 www.instagram.com/ldnclimatest...
Voted for @scottishgreens.org and @hollybruce.bsky.social in Glasgow Southside this morning 💚
Great to launch the @archhfund.org.uk 50 year anniversary exhibtion in Glasgow yesterday. Runs at The Briggait until 16 May go check it out ahfund.org.uk/anniversary/
First night of @counterflows.bsky.social yesterday. Amazing, no other festival like it. Interesting how the state of Glasgow historic buildings fed into this show by noise/performance artists Hexakaidecagon
Some photos from the Save 103 Trongate protest in Glasgow today, and the massive banner outside the gallery right now
Really recommend Brutal Scotland photography show by @new-brutalism.bsky.social at Glasgow’s Street Level. So many iconic buildings and love the Manplan-like exhibition design
For Glasgow pals - on Saturday 21 Feb I'm hosting a launch event for the compilation album You Are Not Made of Sugar about living with rain in Glasgow. Held in collabroation with Infrastructure Humanties Group & record label Miúin. Free tickets; book here: communalleisure.com/2026-02-21-i...
Looking forward to being in Belfast next week with the @archhfund.org.uk & @kwilsonlee.bsky.social for their 50 Year touring exhibtion opening. The venue, Riddel's Warehouse, is a beauty of Industrial heritage (photos © Joe Laverty)
Sickening show of force by Jared Kushner of "New Gaza" and "New Rafah", such an evil project to design let alone build. Even worse is seeing Israeli's sharing this so gleefully. Shame on the practices involved.
Loved street-level superstar a year with LAWRENCE by @willhodgkinson.bsky.social an endlessly fascinating musician & individual. Really funny, sad in parts and can be read as a history of changing London since the 80s with it's psychogeographic walk through the city
Also made it down to the suburban Brutalist estate at Ivry-sur-Seine by Renée Gailhoustet. So well intertwined within the urban fabric of the area
Enjoyed Paris exhibition Common Areas last week. Set in a former hospital that’s also a halfway house it was a stylish look at shared spaces in a shared building. Shame Lighthouse or RIBA can’t do any off site shows like this due to their currently closures www.pavillon-arsenal.com/en/expositio...
Last day is tomorrow but that Andy Goldsworthy: Fifty Years show in Edinburgh is a beaut
I have an ambient album - Earth Burning Red - out today on Italy's ROHS Records. Have a listen here: lontanoseries.bandcamp.com/album/earth-...
Loved visiting Aldo Rossi’s Monte Amiata housing in Gallaratese, Milan last week.
Also although I admire the sentiment of this climate statement it does completely misunderstand who Noah saved with his ark
Highlights were Andre Jaques Titanium and the Planetary Making of SHININESS, Czech Momentum of Decision, Aravena and Radio Ballads section
