I think Simpsons still hadn't quite hit its stride in season 4, but man it had some gold.

This is so fucking bleak, man.

A picture of one of the graphics that display while the coffe machine at work is brewing: it shows a photo of a coffee bean with stick-figure type doodles around it so it looks like the bean is a character in a one-panel comic. The bean man is laying at the dead end of an alley next to an overflowing dumpster. Flies are circling his head and a little rat appears to be wagging its tail. Or its tail is transmitting radio signals. The punchline is "Has-bean."

Also, the lens for my phone's camera is absolutely fucked. Which makes the scene seem grimier.

I have a new neighbor.

A Canada goose floating in a small lake. Late afternoon sun is reflecting off the ripples spreading outward in circles from the goose. The goose has its neck tucked all the way back along its body so it looks like it is peeking out from behind its wingtip which is raised just above the goose's head.

Sometimes when I look at a picture where they're all clumped together like this, I think, "Oh, that's got to be AI," even though I took it myself.

a group of nine deer all standing in a little group. most of them are facing to the left and grazing, one has it's head up and is facing right. they all jumped the chained link fence that runs behind them. they're all the same kind of dull, grayish brown and it's kind of hard to tell which legs belong to which body.

A picture of Torgo from Manos: The Hands of Fate (featured on a classic MST3K episode). He is a rumpled looking bearded man with a staff and hat. He's supposed to be some sort of satyr but the prosthetic for the goat legs just makes it look like he has huge thighs. Apparently the prosthetic also fucked up the actor's knees but, according to the director's daughter, that did not contribute to his later suicide.

I don't know if the yoga is helping.

But each image is of a very fat naked person squatting on a stool facing away from the camera. The skin is white and waxy looking which makes sense because instead of a head, there is a burning wick. The figure in each image gets progressively more wrinkly and decrepit (but not as if the candle is melting), except the images for the two youngest age ranges look like they're reversed.

The skit:
