I can’t see the ‘originals’ w/o seeing Muhammad Ali who posed as St Sebastian for Esquire in ‘67. It’s said that as he posed for this image, he touched each arrow and named it for each of the govt agents hounding him for his military draft refusal. Discussed in A Feminist Theory of Refusal
Just finished this book recommended by somebody on here. It’s by Kelly Barnhill and it’s indescribably wonderful. I read the last few pages very slowly. I kept putting off finishing it. I didn’t want it to end. To all who recommended and to the author who wrote it: thank you!!

Just received HANNAH ARENDT AND Jacques Derrida, new collection edited by N Sahraoui and J Schmidt and it looks awesome. Can’t wait to read the whole thing.
If you’re in Boston go see the Dybbuk at the Vilna Shul downtown. Seriously: GO. This production is amazing - by Arlekin theater. If you don’t know it, The Dybbuk is an early 20th century play that is the Jewish source text for the film Corpse Bride and many other works of art
