Alexandrian, super nerdy about housing, transit, policy and publishing. I work in none of those fields.
It has to be DRBA. You can see where DRP stopped making their own cute art and started AI art posts. They are so hard to decipher.
If you can help, there's a West End ALX food drive this week through Tenants and Workers United - drop-offs are: -5:30-6:30pm, Th + Fr @ St. Clement’s Episcopal Church -3-5pm, Saturday @ Wm Ramsey Rec Center Their last food drive's demand well outpaced supply, so please stop by if you're able!
True! I didn’t realize it but here are the DuckDuckGo search results for reference.
I accidentally captured the beginning of this paint job on my way to Montreal and it’s so mind-bogglingly bad.
Achievement unlocked! Astonishingly easy to get here on Metro. Yes, I’ve lived here for 13+ years, why do you ask?
This feels criminal and I hate it all. Anyway, our Virginia Wolf Pack (of the WFP) is hosting some phone banks if you want to help reach out to Virginians being targeted by these mailers and encourage a YES vote. www.mobilize.us/wfpower/even...
Enjoying Costa Rica, I’m sure nothing is happening back at home that I should know about.
Alex what happens when the presentation for bike lanes on Braddock makes so much sense that this on-street parking feels like an injustice?
I know we’re past #ALXcaffeinary times, but this coffee is so good that I want you all to try it. We have a Zeke’s next to my office but they also sell it at Moms!
Wrapping up the list is this series by Eris Marriott - vampires and empires and a priceless with no powers in a world of magic. 2 of 5 planned books are out.
This book looks amazing, a sapphic romance with generational trauma: The Color Jade by JK Hernandez.
Helene Gadot has something for everyone! Omegaverse, Romantasy, and Superhero RH (w/⚔️!)
Cyclones and Daggers by Rauri Rose is book 2 in the series; Vines and Daggers is first. She was wearing a lovely crown!
Okay, a friend and I want to meet after work to try our hand at embroidery but over coffee or tea. Any suggestions for a cafe/restaurant that’s open til 8pm-ish on a weekday that also doesn’t mind lingering? It’s important that no one judges our ineptitude and tangles.
This one yesterday was fun! Car was stuck and a truck tried to go around, then couldn’t go any further. Our neighbor has a small backhoe (!) and dug them out. (The truck was able to reverse but our road has trapped several sedans at this point!)
