I’ve spent the entire summer documenting and photographing what has transpired in my pool turned pond. Meet Matilda, a juvenile ribbon snake who resides just under the coping. She comes out every morning looking for nourishment.
I let my pool go to pond, built a habitat, and I had no idea the joy I would discover by letting nature run its course.
Don’t judge me- but every year around this time, I give up on the inground pool cleaning and let the frogs go ahead and take it over. Every year for the last 3 years, Leopold the Leopard Frog pays his visit and waits on Matilda.

Last night my hope was to wake up to 200 followers, I think when I woke up I was at 400 followers. Tomorrow I hope I wake up to 1000 followers!
