We'd been talking about getting a dog for - literally! - years, and this opportunity fell into our lap! So we are very happy. Not sure how the cats are going to feel, yet...

The puppy is a male Springer Spaniel, white with large brown patches. His ears and around the eyes eyes have brown fur, but there's a white stripe across the middle of the head, with adorable brown freckles!

As I have no car maintenance skills, does anyone know what this is? It fell off the underside of the car as we were pushing it somewhere safe!

Part that fell off the car when it broke down.
It's a circular metal flange, about 3 inches or so in diameter. It has six holes drilled in it.
It also has a second, smaller cylindrical piece welded underneath (not clear in the photo)

We ended up buying the biggest roll-up felt jigsaw mat we could - which is just big enough - and have been assembling it in the only floor space big enough: in our bedroom!

Penny and I have put on our big boy pants, screwed our courage to the sticking point and ... started the 6000 piece jigsaw puzzle that my brother in law got me for my birthday!

It's mainly been tidied up around the back, so there's not a lot of difference to be seen! I have been advised to start using conditioner, now it's this long.

I'm also 57 and my hair is the longest it's ever been! It does have quite a grey, but it doesn't show in most lights because my hair colour is a sort of ash blonde. It doesn't, unfortunately, fix the problem that I've been A weird looking dude...

I stubbed my toe badly this morning, and tonight, it looks like the picture. From the bruising - and previous experience - I've almost certainly broken it. Penny has 'buddy tied' it to the next toe, as advised by her doctor neice.
