Several years ago, I picked up a couple of Purslane plants at a Walmart garden center. Planted them in containers on the patio of the apartment where we were living at the time. This annual succulent grew amazingly well for me. It tolerates the heat & dryness here. The flowers come in all colors.

I’m working on this for one of my granddaughters. It’s the first time I’ve done one with the key/pattern printed on the fabric. This is how far I’ve gotten.

This is not Gideon. This is my grandgirl’s cat, Apollo. I have trouble telling the two apart. Also have trouble telling her 2 Siamese apart. So I’m saying, “Hi, kitty-kitty,” a lot. 😂

But they try hard. 🤷‍♀️

I took a 2269 mile road trip across 4 states & back in just under 5 days. Half of that traveling with 4 cats. Got souvenirs, visited Meteor Crater, and stood on the corner in Winslow, AZ.

My granddaughter said it looks like cyanobacteria rather than algae. And cyanobacteria is dangerous to animals & humans.

We forgot Milo’s boat. Luckily, I had a similar size bin storing some yarn. It is now Milo’s boat away from home.

Some souvenirs from my drive. A woven handbag that I plan to use to hold needlework projects. A couple of tee shirts commemorating the centennial of Route 66 (now that I wear a size that can be found in normal shops). A car magnet. Will look great on my white car. One of 2 keychains I picked up.

This is the closest that I got to fitting all of Meteor Crater into a single photo. Had to back way up & go part way up a ramp leading to stairs to an observation deck.

Now in Flagstaff picking up the college grandgirl. Stopped by Meteor Crater on the way. The Apollo astronauts trained here.

Stood on the corner in Winslow, Arizona.

Stopped at a rest stop for a “necessary” break. And at a trading post, where I got the most beautiful woven bag that I plan to use for needlework. Pic of the bag later. It’s stowed in the way back already.

Quick stop in Tucumcari, NM.

I love wind farms! So tranquil watching the turbines. Short stop in Amarillo to pick up a couple of gifts from a specialty shop, top off the tank, and take a potty break. On to Tucumcari, NM!

Made it to Texas. Quick pit stop.

My bipap mask has been rubbing on my temple area on my left side (the side I sleep on). So today I crocheted a little sleeve to try to provide some cushion. Hope it works!

Buddy has decided that my turn in “our” recliner is over.

I swear. Keegan can be a little weirdo sometimes. He’s just sitting in the bank of lights in the living room.

I know this medication is expensive. And the big bottle is maybe supposed to make you feel like you got your money’s worth. But the number of pills in the bottle (30) literally fit inside the bottle cap. This is ridiculous.
