Just an FYI that a week from right around now (Wednesday afternoon), we will experience another partial solar eclipse. For Spain/Iceland, this will be a total eclipse. Here in Eastern Canada, we will only see a partial eclipse w/ 40-60% of the sun being blocked, depending on where you are.

Went out onto the deck at 3am to try to photograph this whole “Falcon striking the Moon” business. I took as many photos per second as my camera would allow from 3:32am until 3:38am. I dunno, man. If it’s in there, I don’t see it. Anyway, here’s a stacked image using ~half of the frames captured.

Bought Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 for PS5, which lets you freely fly literally anywhere on earth in VR since it relies on existing satellite imagery and photogrammetry recreate the terrain. Pretty mind blowing. First place I visited was the Great Pyramids of Giza. The second place…Fredericton. 🫠
