New research we’ve commissioned has revealed the public backlash at the current postcode lottery around access to life-extending cancer drugs. And it's shown 82% of UK adults believe the drug Enhertu, for HER2-low metastatic breast cancer, should be made available to those who need it on the NHS.

A newspaper cut out. Most of my career has been in cancer care, and the changes I’ve seen in that time have been extraordinary. Through all of it one thing has stayed constant, people still need evidence based trusted information and support.

Our Breast Cancer Now nursing team. So it really does feel special that Tickled Pink was born in 1996 too - the same year I qualified. They've stood by Breast Cancer Now for 30 years, fuelling incredible progress. Their funds support the helpline I work on, and they directly fund 2 of our nurses picking up the phones too.

Hi, I’m Ruth, I was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer in January 2023, after finding a lump in my right breast.

Following months of intensive treatment, a PET scan showed no sign of cancer. But I still needed surgery to remove some breast tissue and all my lymph nodes, to check whether the cancer had spread.

Being told my lymph nodes needed to be removed was daunting. And living with lymphoedema afterwards has been a constant reminder of what I went through.

That’s what makes this new discovery so important. It could help doctors better understand who really needs which treatments, and help more people avoid long-term side effects like lymphoedema.
