New art alert! I finally started reading through the #StormlightArchives and felt compelled to make some Dalinar art. Tried to capture the epic scene in book one where Dalinar saves Elhokar from the crushing grip of the chasm fiend. Hopefully I've done it justice.

Dalinar, in dark grey shardplate, struggles to hold back the huge claw of a chasm fiend. Storm light wisps off the armor as it begins to crack under the strain. Elhokar lays on the ground behind him, propped up on one arm.

I got the Best Black & White award at Norwescon for Rosie, the Prickly Pear Potion Maker! I tried something new this year with 10 small original ink pieces. Rosie and a few others went off to their forever homes. And also, we all know that Booh really deserves the Best Black & White award.

Day 6 (Pierce): The shot connected. Months of engineering, forging that long, blackened spear, training on moving targets, it all led to this moment. It worked! But the beast did not fall. It only looked angry. Contemptuous. What had they done except prove that a god could bleed?

Day 2 (weave): The blind weaver, loosely based on a concept in the book Sin Eater where there are blind weavers in a temple creating a garment, miles long, for the return of their god. Also dang, jumping from mostly digital to India ink has been a trial!

Woodland Knight:
A knight made of wood and root stands guard before the deep woods. His cape is made of moss and flower. Branches grow out from his helm like limbs from a tree. He holds an ancient sword at ease, blade held towards the earth. Woodland creatures, squirrel, birds, and butterflies, crawl and flutter all around him in the warm light that breaks through the leaves.

Taking Over Me:
A woman, on her knees, presses a picture frame to her chest. Purple flowers and vines pour out from beneath the frame, spreading out and across her body, onto the floor, and into the background. Vines wrap around her beginning to entangle and trap her. She looks content, with eyes closed and a smile on her lips.

Spooky you say!?
