I'm painting lately and something I'm trying is to focus less on character, body, and form (and the perfection I get caught up in) and instead letting myself play with color, motion, and rhythm, and to try to enjoy the art process itself... I'm learning a lot!

Found a seagull panting in the median of a busy road. Couldn't leave it there, so I threw on the hazards and stopped to grab it... Didn't know what to do so I brought it home. Perfect passenger, unmoving. Seems stunned, just kinda standing with me... hoping it recovers okay, it doesn't look injured

#brevenart I been cooking up a cursed unicorn OC that eats flesh and is bound to one of my husband's OCs as a servant 🦄🙂‍↕️ So have some sexy drawings of Silver Light by the Lakeshore, a generally miserable and despondent unicorn, held captive by a golden bridle and occasionally a harness.

I DIDNT FORGET THIS YEAR #hourlycomicsday

Reads "It's hourly comics day and I didn't forget!" featuring Breven posing in the middle of the frame looking very disproportionate and comical. If you've read this far, you deserve a little treat. Here's the hastily-drawn phone comic play-by-play of the experience of meeting Silver during my massage last Thursday.

Three moments in time, in sequence from top to bottom. A relatively nondescript body relaxes in a void with its eyes closed, with a label that reads: "me, experiencing reflexology massage and tranquility." In the second moment, the body's eyes pop open and it lifts its head, looking at a gravel-colored voice emanating from its abdomen. "Helloooooo," the voice from its abdomen says. In the third moment, the voice from the stomach says, "I'm the voice in your stomaaaach," and the body looks in quiet awe. "Whoa, Meabh de Brun?" the body says, incredulous that it's currently hearing Carpenter's voice from The Silt Verses podcast in its own body.

The next moment, with a zoom-in on the body, which asks with rising excitement: "Meabh de Brun???" The gravely voice in the body takes the shape of a curved fish hook, emanating sensation outward into the body's hips and abdomen. She says to the body, "Call me Silverrrr," her voice grinding out into quiet."

The next moment, a zoom in on just Silver, shaped like a fish hook and vibrating into the void of this mindscape. Silver's voice rings clear in the opened space, and she says, "It's real. I believe you." These are the words that the uncertain, ailing, healing body most needed to hear in that moment. Not pictured, the body knows itself even more than before.
