Been a Beatles fan my whole life. Being at Abbey Road has checked off a pretty big box.
Was still fun all the same. Been following cricket for 20 years and have been to (and commentated) more than a few games in the states, but this was my first match at a real cricket ground.
The Blaze Win! They coast home with 40 balls to spare to win the Women’s T20 Blast!
I thought that the light scansions were oddly shaped… turns out they’re feathers in the Surrey CC logo!
There’s not a lot of people here. Sadly. But the atmosphere is cool. There are a few kids out in this open area playing pickup cricket ahead of the final. There’s a chicken place called the Crispy Wicket. I’m eating a gyro. They have Fever Tree soda. It’s a good time.
Durham chase down 130 to win the second semifinal… they’ll take on The Blaze in the final!
My office for the day yesterday. Did five games including three absolute thrillers. Thanks to the amazing @northstarashle.bsky.social for her work on socials as part of the USAFL Super Regionals as well!
PHL 🛫 MSP En route to commentate my 28th USAFL Regional Tournament.

Man. Time is a funny thing. I remember sitting in the car in 2022 when they made the announcement that Philly would be a men’s World Cup host city in 2026. Then when we won the chance to buy tickets back in September. Then the draw and schedule in December. Now it’s done, for Philly at least.
Washington DC looking like Mordor is sadly about as real as it gets in 2026.
We were there for the USA game on Wednesday, and we’ve been there for a couple Der Klassikers as well. But it’s also a great place to get a regular meal.
