Great to revisit Yonderland this afternoon at the BFI. The Q&A afterwards was delightfully funny too, as you might expect.

Reading @0tralala.bsky.social’s beautiful biography of David Whitaker, and not just loving the writing (obvs) but also the incidental font stuff between chapters. It’s such a lovely book so far.
I bought this this weekend from someone on Etsy. An original 60s dressing gown. At an absurdly affordable price. I think it’s the luckiest I’ve ever been on a random unique purchase ever. So insanely happy.
I was in Athens for three weeks around this time last year. The weather was like this every day. But with the infrastructure built for it. Apartments with built in shutters, aircon everywhere, fans blowing cold water mist etc. Still, this did happen as I was trying to read... more than once I think.
Never realised this had been released on DVD so this was a happy purchase this afternoon. Also hadn’t realised it was written by the brilliant Tony Roche. Daft and brilliant is how I remember it. Looking forward to a rewatch.
First major exhibition I ever went to was this restrospective with my Dad in 1988. I was 13 and utterly bowled over by the breadth of skill, methodolgy, style, casual mastery of one medium before moving onto the next. Always trying the next thing... polaroids, colour photocopiers... RIP Mr Hockney.

When I watched Blake’s 7 in 79/80 (when I was 5ish) I called it “the other Doctor Who” because I knew no better. Back then I had no idea what was going on but I loved Vila because he made jokes I didn’t really understand and drank space booze when everyone else was being serious. RIP
