I asked the owner of the pub beside this stone what he knew of it and was it here when he built the pub and he said, Oh no, we just dragged that out of a nearby field and put it upright as a piss-take of the standing stones on (neighbouring, more fancy island) Tresco. Happy #StandingStoneSunday
