Hilariously, the direct-to-dvd sequel was all-in-all a better film. It’s still less than great, but it leans heavier into the D&D aspect in ways I find much more entertaining.

Two things: 1: I don't trust a goddamn thing Google reps say about anything. 2: "machine translated" Japanese is famously a frequent source of misinformation I ain't defending Capcom, there probably is truth here, but I'm certainly not gonna take this shit at face value either.

A snippet from the article that reads: “[Capcom] will not implement the materials generated by our AI into game content,” the company said in a machine translated investor Q&A on 23 March 2026. “However, we plan to actively utilize this technology to improve efficiency and productivity in the game development process. Therefore, we are currently exploring ways to use it in various areas, such as graphics, sound, and programming.”

The words "machine translated" are underlined in red.

Damn I should have been keeping a tally for "number of incidents from this administration that you can point to this skeet over" so we know what the final total is when the military coup finally happens.

It's really funny that The Art of War is treated as this like alpha male book when it's clearly meant to be read by ancient Chinese failsons because it's all "please don't forget you have to feed your troops" and "if someone asks if you're going to attack them consider lying about it"

Randomly thought about the anime Witch Hunter: Robin and how the villain in the first episode was a guy who put sand runes on the ground and then used his magic to...trip people. That's it. Access to magic and the best he came up with was the equivalent of making people slip on banana peels.

He's just a really fuckin' cool design.

The Pursuer, a boss in Dark Souls 2. A floating suit of armor with highly aesthetic but sensible design that may or may not actually have a person in it. He wields a large, well-used sword in one hand and a large metal shield shaped sort of like the head of a dull great axe. The visor of his helmet glows with a menacing red light. Strapped to his back is a bundle of many different other, smaller weapons wrapped together in a large piece of cloth.

Hey if you're still following Hard Drive, you maybe should know that they made fun of Itagaki's facial scars by likening his appearance to that of an oatmeal cookie, then quietly deleted the post and pretended nothing happened after people rightly called them out. Tactless losers.
