Off and running at Joy of Six in Sheffield.

It's the Joy of Six show in Sheffield this weekend, so we have a suitably-scaled release today - some 6mm SAS/Special Forces figures. You can see more on the blog: wp.me/p26BWy-4BJ We'll also have a bunch of new 2mm and 6mm bits and pieces at the show ahead of their website releases next month.

In the summer months we're often buzzed by one of the Spitfires from nearby Headcorn. Today I was treated to some formation flying by three Spits and a fourth plane that I haven't yet identified (hopefully some googling when I get home will turn up the right answer).

4pm, 33°C. This is probably (hopefully) as high as it will get, so no workshop temperature record today.

2pm, lunchtime. 31.5°C. We've reached the 'equipment too hot to touch without gloves' threshold.

1248 - we've breached 30°.

I think someone's early morning walk/swim caught up with them; I can feel myself going the same way...

The absolute*worst* thing about the whole #salute weekend is having to return the hire van to the depot on Sheppey at 8am on Sunday morning. But after breakfast Poppy and I turned it into a bracing jaunt along the seafront around Garrison Point and had a look at the old WW2 fortifications.

Last minute additions to our Salute lineup. Firstly, some smaller Syrtian vessels for Imperial Skies to go with the two larger vessels. And lastly for Salute this year, a new Japanese battleship for the spaceships range. We don't have many in stock for tomorrow, so be quick! #salute #salute53

As a departure from our F/SF models, our Small Scale Scenery range stands alone as an extensive collection of 1/1000th scale houses, fortresses, castles, and other buildings. Standing at well over 200 codes, the range is ideal for tiny scale land or naval gaming, or making dioramas. #salute53

One of the ranges we're probably best known for is our Imperial Skies VSF airships. Paired with the rulebook of the same name from Rottenlead, the game is set in an alternate universe at the end of the C.19th. Look out for our releases at Salute, which open up a whole new world ! #salute #salute53

We move into deep space now, with our extensive range of spaceships in over a dozen fleets, both human and alien. We also have a large selection of merchants ships and space stations. Look out for a couple of new additions this week. #salute #salute53

The largest in scale of our sci-fi figure and vehicle ranges is also the newest. We produce a range of 3D-printed 28mm sci-fi figures and scenery under the Pioneer Station banner, depicting the occupants and locations of a research station in the depths of space. #salute53

Much of our 6mm range is replicated in 15mm, where again we have a huge range of tanks and other vehicles. We also have alien and civilian figures, starship crews and various creatures. Part of this is the Hammer's Slammers range, allowing you to choose your scale. #salute #salute53

We're one of the largest manufacturers around in 6mm sci-fi, with hundreds of different models. Part of this is our Hammer's Slammers range, representing the units mentioned in David Drake's stories. We also have a huge choice of buildings in a number of different styles. #salute #salute53

We offer sci-fi miniatures in no fewer than four scales - the smallest of these are Germy's 3mm range, with lots of different tiny tanks, walkers and aircraft. We also a make a number of different types of buildings to go with them. We'll have these (and Germy as well) at Salute. #salute #salute53

Salute is just over a week away and over this weekend we thought we'd run through some of the ranges we'll be taking with us. Celtos is our range of 28mm fantasy figures with a Celtic theme. There are ~300 figures all told - and for the first time in a while we'll have some new ones for release.
