I need to report a broken 9-month-old kitten! She sleeps in the weirdest positions possible. Her legs are so long she doesn't know what to do with them. The scratch on her nose is from her pushing herself out of my arms in the dark and hitting the edge of a wooden bench. #Caturday #CatsofBluesky

Box conformity is a special kitty skill. They become liquid.

Lily felt the same way when we tried to keep her separated during the transition to our house. She had no trouble getting over this barrier. We kept adding cardboard, but we finally gave up.

Our local one was pretty much a bummer, too. According to Google weather, this was "partly sunny" with no rain. We stood in the middle of a tent trying not to get drenched, waited for a small break in the rain intensity and then left.

Sweet picture, Dexter! Lily agrees that it is much too hot to do much except relax and let things cool off!

This is Lily's sister Inky (at right), snoozing with Otis, my daughter's first cat. They are not related at all, but look remarkably alike! Otis is a big kitty, but did great with accepting the kittens and their mom.

Our new kitten likes to sleep weirdly like that, too. She likes to air things out.

Kitten update: We've had Lily now for almost 3 months, and it has been a challenging time. Despite a slow introduction with our older two kitties, it was a pretty rough adjustment. We didn't give up, and we have made some progress. This is the closest to a snuggle so far!

There was a wedding taking place in the piazza when we were there. It was wonderful to see the melding of so many people together.

So far she hasn't been afraid of anything!

We have never had more than two cats before, so it will be a change. Our 6-yr-old sisters are not at all on board yet. The little one has been by for two short visits so far.

Gia is the Christmas decoration supervisor at our house. Nothing happens without her approval.

You don't want to step all the way to the top of the ladder for safety. It is better to have part of the ladder to hold or lean against. We have 9 ft. ceilings, and I have a Gorilla 3-step ladder with a built-in utility shelf, which works for me for most things. It is easy to move around and store.

It is amazing to see how much the kittens have grown in three weeks. The first pic is at one day old, and the second is at 3 weeks. They are getting used to being held now. #CatsofBluesky

Momma Reishi is doing much better and is gaining some weight now. My daughter and SIL learned that she was likely already pregnant again when his co-worker took her in briefly. She was injured and bleeding on her face and paw, but stayed away, so they put out food and water for her. #CatsofBluesky

Our pup used to search for rabbit pellets in the yard. She thought they were special treats. She once showed up at our patio door on a rainy day with rabbit poo on her nose!
