I have a gig at Rye Festival on 15th September...if any of you are in the area!
On a lighter note and for those of you who like to write historical flash, I've found a few gems in my granny's Mrs. Beeton
Lovely review of my novel Longshore Drift in a local arts magazine
Some people must have bought my novel as I just received a payment of £110 from the publishers...and a bill for £100 right now for something else! In it comes, out it goes. The writing life.
We planted trees when we moved here. This rowan has died from lack of water. It's impossible to water trees. Not impossible but very difficult especially for two old crocks
My favourite mountain is on fire 😓- the Rhinogs, North Wales. Climbed up there many times. Swam in icy lake up there & seen the wild goats too. Hope it can be put out soon. But needs air support.
It's actually almost cold this morning in Herefordshire....welcome relief.
Lovely swim in St Leonards but also view of black smoke rising from big fire at an old convent. Only visible from the sea and I did not have my mobile with me!
Bindefendence Day Loving all these memes about Count Binface standing against Nigel Farage. There has to be a story in there all right!
Queen of the Night flowering on this sultry night with her beautiful scent.
So lucky to visit Bardsey Island on such an incredible day. Saw puffins, guillemots, peregrines, oyster catchers and seals.
I went bodyboarding this morning at Hells Mouth but it was not hellish at all
Look at this wonderful old chestnut 🌰 tree at Croft Castle near Leominster
I look at the other camper vans and caravans in the park and am certain ours is the messiest! We are in Herefordshire
I submitted again. Because I'm so enjoying the prompts. It's fun to go a little off-kilter sometimes!
I finished a novella-in-flash this week. No acceptances this week but when I'm not writing I take photos or make collages and this photo is this week, after the rains. I have a macro lens which is great fun to use as it sees things my eye sometimes does not

How could I resist buying this? City like water by Dorothy Tse
As spring has somehow accidentally morphed into summer I bring you a summer poem - and please will I remember to get the air con fixed in my car! It's been broken for three years and it was rather hot on the A21 at noon.
