This drops Thursday & I’m ready.🎧 “Two Aussie lesbian lovers touch down in 1990s London & become the toast of British high society. They charm rich businessmen, England’s horse-loving elite, & even Queen Elizabeth herself. But the glamorous duo are concealing a dark past & dastardly intentions...”
With the Little House on the Prairie remake out now, it’s always interesting to me that the inspiration for Mr. Edwards was my great great grandfather, Edmund Mason. Originally from England, he owned land next to the Ingalls & was “respectable” —but in reality he was also an abusive drunk at home.
When in TX, one must have a $2.50 daytime margarita with Fresno pepper 🌶️ added! 🍹

Tulum Raider 🍹🍍 A tropical, smoky margarita with tequila, Aperol, mezcal, lime, pineapple and grapefruit bitters. Would love this with a grilled pineapple garnish. Definitely a keeper.
Spotted by a UK-based friend discussing this week’s royal visit and the frayed state of “the special relationship” on the BBC.
On April 21, as every UK outlet publishes nostalgic op-eds about the Elizabethan century on what would have been Elizabeth II’s 100th birthday, it’s a good day to check out THE CROWN’S SILENCE.
My margaritas are far better than this $22 CA hotel rita, but I’m not complaining. 🍹
Back in CA for the first time in years to give a talk at the Huntington Library tomorrow morning. Looking forward to seeing early modern studies peeps! Pic of post-travel cocktail to come later!! 🍸
I had blood oranges 🍊 that needed to be consumed today, so I had absolutely NO CHOICE … 🍸
My copy has finally arrived! I look forward to digging into this new book by @unlawfulentries.bsky.social
