They are taking the bridge away from me. I think I have about a week left
The fire commissioner is an administrative job, she heads an agency (which includes EMS). Eyeballing it, but roughly half of the fire commissioners going back to the Lindsay era had zero experience in the FDNY. Bonsignore has more experience in the FDNY than Adams’ two prior appointees.
I am way behind on @andrewhickey.500songs.com’s podcasts but it really paid off when the NY Times mega puzzle had this clue - which I only learned from Andrew two weeks ago. It also is just a great song.
Until he ran for mayor this year, Andrew Cuomo hadn’t lived in NYC since (I think) he sold that Douglaston house in 1993. Needing to establish residency to run for mayor, Cuomo moved into his daughter’s $8,000-a-month Upper East Side apartment earlier this year.
Sadly, handsy Andy had to leave Albany a few years ago. With no home to call his own, lucky boy landed temporary digs in his friend’s Southampton beach house.
Of course when he was governor he split his time between Westchester and an actual mansion in Albany, paid for by you and me. (This was the second time nepo Andy got to live in the governor’s mansion!!)
Next is Andrew Cuomo’s Chappaqua (Westchester County) house that he and girlfriend Sandra Lee shared. It sold for almost $2 million in 2020.
In light of his infantile “mansion boy” dig, a 🧵 on Andrew Cuomo’s humble abodes. First up, the Douglaston, Queens he sold in 1993. This 6-bedroom house sold for $2.4 million in 2016. Would probably go for at least twice that today.
tl;dr - go outside. At night (they kind of leave the night part out of the article!).
Meanwhile, over on Twitter they are going straight to the weekend.
It is likely that the front section of the church was constructed in 1864. You can see that front section in this photo from 2005. A spire was added sometime, maybe in the 1880s. It survived into the 1940s, and may have been removed due to a fire in 1957.
Might make you stand out too much, but these are quite popular among people in Japan who have to work in 90*+ weather.
Happy international cat day. The girls’ new album is going to be 🔥.
Turns out there are a bunch of taco places in the Kanda neighborhood. So far, 100% serve Brooklyn beer.
