There’s been a lot of buzz swirling around the #MillionairesTax and we’ve got clips from a Q&A w/ @eoionline.bsky.social's Annie Kucklick + our own Mia Shigemura, as they break down the basics of this historic new policy. We kick it off with this week's question: Who will pay the Millionaires Tax?
Last Friday, in solidarity with our partners in the Washington for All Coalition (including @oavotes.bsky.social, @nwirp.bsky.social, and @acluwa.bsky.social ) we gathered in front of the Seattle Federal Building to call for an end to ICE's harmful enforcement tactics.

We joined the NO on I-645 press event today! Gov. Ferguson & partner leaders (@foodlifeline.bsky.social, @childrensalliance.org, @momsrising.org) made the case for the Millionaires Tax: expanded WA tax credits for working families + sustainable funding for education, childcare & healthcare #NoOnI645
🆕#BPCFactSheet: See county by county impact of the #WorkingFamiliesTaxCredit expansion funded by the #MillionairesTax! $226M+ estimated to go back to folks across WA in 1st yr of implementation, for total of $432M (helping people struggling to make ends meet): budgetandpolicy.org/resources-to...
I-645 would wrongly overturn WA's Millionaires Tax. If it passes, it will give a tax cut to people who make more than $1 million/year, prevent working families and small businesses from getting tax credits, and blow a $13 billion hole in our state budget. We endorse the NO on I-645 campaign.
