While we were saddened that Eva Vezhnavets, author of this important novel, was unable to join us due to her deteriorating health, we were proud to share and celebrate her writing and the work done by Ella and Jim Dingley to bring this "psychogram of power and powerlessness" to a new audience.
Attendees enjoyed an afternoon of discussion between Karalina Matskevich and both translators of the novel, Ella and Jim Dingley, alongside performances from poet Hanna Komar, actor Elena Wojciechowska, and musician Alesia Mankouksya.
Last month at Marian House in London, in collaboration with the Francis Skaryna Belarusian Library and Museum, we launched What Now, Mr Wolf? by Eva Vezhnavets.
Traversing distinct epochs and geographies, each novel in this collection engages themes of identity, memory, and conflict – both collective and personal, historical and contemporary. Free postage in Ireland. For shipping outside Ireland please contact info@bullaunpress.com for estimated cost.
"…and when another streetlight went out beside him and none turned on, he thought that if someone had escaped the jaws of death, they no longer belonged to the world of the living entirely." Bullaun Press announces its eighth title in translation - The Carcass Remover by Zoltán Danyi.
