It’s back! George has been helping me landscape all summer. I’m not sure if I knew. I haven’t paid much attention, though I am getting host emails pretty regularly lately lolol. Still never going back. I don’t care how much they up my comps 😂

Today, the United States administration announced its intention to impose a new 50% tariff on a significant number of Canadian goods.
This is the latest in a series of unilateral U.S. trade actions that began with the U.S. imposing a series of tariffs in direct violation of the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA), the free trade agreement between Canada, the United States, and Mexico.
These include tariffs on the Canadian auto sector, in violation of CUSMA. Canada, as is its right, has merely matched those measures.
More broadly, in response to these measures and threats to Canadian sovereignty, provinces, territories, and Canadians from coast to coast to coast have stood together, taking the necessary actions to support our economy and defend our workers, farmers, businesses, and families.
Recognising that the U.S. has been transforming all of its trade relationships, including those covered under CUSMA, over the past 18 months, Canada has made a series of detailed and comprehensive proposals to resolve this dispute and to modernise CUSMA.
We stand ready to intensify those discussions in the coming weeks.
Canada believes in the benefits of free and fair trade, as evidenced by our new government signing more than 20 new economic and security partnerships. This trade dispute has raised costs for families, particularly in the U.S. Canada stands ready to engage intensively to address outstanding issues with the U.S. to the mutual benefit of our citizens.
In all circumstances, Canada will work relentlessly and take any measures necessary to build our strength at home and to support Canadian workers, farmers, businesses, and families.

Horse in residential area

My neighbour got a horse. This is fine with me (I'm very open minded) but he keeps yelling at it and it keeps getting in the way of my car. Is he allowed to have a horse in the city? I asked him about it and he called me gay (which I am NOT!) and said 'horses are fucking awesome'.
My other neighbour does NOT have a horse but she says she doesn't want to get involved.
Who should I contact about the horse.

Georgie is so fricking smart. Elsa got out of the yard and he ran inside freaking out to let us know. I fell on the ice a few weeks ago and he freaked out to let my husband know. Husband got sick a few months ago and he ran to get me. I don’t know how he knows, he’s still young (11 mo) but he does.

Ooh and that’s if you need lots! The totes are pretty popular out here instead of big tanks. Our lake house is near the water station and i see people fill up tanks on the back of their trucks, I think those would be tote filling size, i think those people are campers since its near the campsite

My neighbour decided to build a huge garden ( though it looks small in relation to the empty land) it’s not hooked up to services. Doesn’t look like much right now but holds tons. Pretty sure he just uses these white tote things. Not sure how he fills them. We haven’t had a ton of rain in years.

Important: Changes to VIPorter flight redemptions

We want to share an important update regarding
VIPorter flight redemptions.
Due to the recent rise in global fuel prices, Porter is introducing a temporary fuel surcharge on all VIPorter flight redemptions. This adjustment will be applied as a 'Peak Surcharge' to each passenger, each way. This update goes into effect for all new VIPorter flight bookings as of March 23, 2026 - any existing bookings are unaffected.
Importantly, this surcharge is expected to be temporary. As oil prices stabilize and return to normal levels, we plan to return to standard pricing.
We want to be transparent about why this change is necessary. Fuel represents the highest cost of airline operations and this surcharge allows us to maintain the number of points required for redemption.

I will not have a phone case again that doesn’t have the strap on the back. The latest one came with a body strap attachment, though to be fair my old ones had lanyards I never used. What makes the body strap awesome? (The ring to carry it and the strap to hold it are non negotiable for me now)
