We're so spoiled here in Seattle with clean air and blue skies that today feels heavy and gross as the smoke descends. Think I'll tariff mother nature's lightning strikes. 🙄
Looks at my daisies this season! I planted them 2 years ago from a gift arrangement my husband gave me. I can't believe they not only lived, but have grown so big and beautiful. Proud mama. 😃
For everyone who wonders what I mean by 50 weeks of mess. This is a 2-day job that will take place 3-4 times this summer.
I went to the Eazy Duz It CC Seattle car show today because culture is AWESOME.
That was such an insane storm in Seattle for July. I'm a big fan of a summer downpour but the thunder and lightening can bite me. We're still drying off.
Crazy looking over the Puget Sound right now. Storm coming? Please just let it rain for a bit overnight to wash away the pollution and pollen. Also, please block @gaylekate.bsky.social as the account steals photos, takes full credit and is proud of it when confronted. So lame.
There was quite the ruckus in the trees at my house in Seattle this morning, was lucky to get this shot of a very mad crow hassling a Cooper's hawk as the sun rises!
It's funny that people still think there will be midterms. I've been saying for months that it's not gonna happen. How quickly some forget J6. We need him to kick it and then civil uprising to reclaim the US. I said what I said. Haters will be blocked immediately.
My hydrangeas have never been this huge, for the first time in 20 years, they're so big the squirrels just walk on them and I can't see any of the pots/water features I have back there for the birds. It's been one hell of growing season in Seattle for some reason.
Look at this beauty that stopped to say hello. What a stunning solstice day in the PNW.
It's my best girl's bday today. She's 15. Most people don't believe me when they meet her, she is doing remarkably well although she does have some health challenges and the heat is her nemesis. Tomorrow, ice cream!
My yard is insane this year. Lived here 20 years and the hydrangeas alone have more blooms and are bigger than ever. They're literally overtaking everything and the squirrels just walk on them! Crazy PNW spring.
