Blame is society’s bulwark against the inevitability of illness. Anyone can become ill and not recover and yet the medical profession and society in general make patients feel as if their illness was due to their maladaptive feelings, or poor behaviour rather than lack of any effective treatment #ME
My timeline today all over social media is an absolute delight, what a legacy from David Hockney. Very sad he’s died but, my goodness, he’s brightened so many lives with his art and his stories. I hope he’s an inspiration to the young with two fingers to the misery of today’s world.
We’ve already got the 3rd highest defence spend in Europe. Far more than Norway, Sweden and Denmark where public spending on healthcare, education and infrastructure is rightfully prioritised. We are not an Empire any longer we and don’t want to line the pockets of US contractors

Yesterday #MEAwarenessDay we tried to draw attention to our illness, #ME, in the hope that healthy people would care and start to advocate for us. To the MSM, government, social media, medics. Today most of us can barely move from our effort and its uselessness. Anyone can get ME! Anyone care?

Two poems by James Strazza who died this week. He had been suffering with severe #ME since 2019. A rare and sensitive man. It’s incredibly sad that once again we are mourning one of our own. May those that have blocked research and psychologised ME feel the pain of their actions 💙
