Oulton, Thruxton & Angel Cadwell
@cadwellandoulton
Hoping to connect with our friends & their humans from X, Instagram & Threads plus meet new animal pals. No politics please. We like Dreamies & cuddles. Cadwell was deaf & diabetic & went OTRB in Feb 24. We miss him very much.
Remembering my panther predecessors on #BlackCatAppreciationDay Mallory (named after a race circuit like me, Cadwell & Thruxton), Oscar who was a real gentleman & little Lucifer. We will never forget any of them 💔♥️ Oulton
Mum took a photo of me while I was snuggling up next to her & having a wash. Rude! 🙀 Oulton
Dear pals, on Saturday night I had an emergency operation to remove a blockage in my urethra. Now home & recovering well. If your neutered male cat can't pee & is being sick it could be a blockage & needs urgent treatment. So glad my mum & dad realised how ill I was & rushed me to the vet 🧡 Thruxton
Here I am being a very good boy & sitting quietly next to mum 😸 Thruxton Mum: as soon as I took the photo he chewed my phone & started biting my fingers & nibbling my rings.
After a cooler couple of days the hot returned yesterday & the very hot today. I found a shady spot. Oulton came outside for a minute then mum called us in & we had creamy Dreamies from the fridge 🥵😸 Thruxton
The hot has returned today. Me, Oulton & mum all preferred to relax in the shade, but even that got too hot for mum 🥵🌞 Thruxton
That cheeky squirrel is eating the birds' fat balls again!
The cat sitters sent mum & dad photos. I'm blepping & Thruxton looks rather judgemental. The house has been kept as cool as possible in this very hot weather, but we've refused to use the cool mat of course 😹 Oulton
Look at this cheeky squirrel. Leave the bird food alone!
I think mum must've had a few jars at the pub tonight because she picked me up when she got home, which she rarely does because I'm a hefty boy. I don't look impressed, but I was purring. Not happy though when she said picking me up has hurt her back 🙀 Oulton
Mum & dad have just seen their first cockchafer of the year 😹 also known by other less silly names. It landed on mum's arm. She didn't get a photo, but here's one she met last year.
Mum @louisegriffiths.bsky.social takes a photo every day & posts them on here as collages, but there are never enough photos of us so for one month only we present 'A cat a day' 😸🐾
Having a nibble of catmint & enjoying this cooler day. Mum wondered why the seeds she'd planted in a trough weren't growing. Just before she took this photo she saw me using the trough as a toilet. Whoops! Well, she should fill it with larger plants so there's no room for me 😹
Having a lazy NOW #Hedgewatch on this very warm day. Thank goodness mum lets all the wildflowers & weeds grow in our garden so I can hide in the shade 💤🌞 Thruxton
Me doing a GOBSTOPPER #Hedgewatch in an old washing up bowl last summer & Thruxton doing his today 😸
We're in the east of England which is quite dry. We have ox eye daisies, comfrey, poppies, buttercups, scabious, campion & lots of other things. Oh, and lots of herbs inc cat mint which we like very much 😸
We like our little garden. All the pots except a baby oak tree & a couple of fuschias are wildflowers (Angel Cadwell used to call them weeds) & in a few weeks everything will be flowering. The bees & butterflies like our garden 🐝🦋🌻
Enjoying a late afternoon sunpuddle. I think my cystitis is clearing as I'm peeing normally now, but unfortunately for mum & dad it's not in the garden or in my litter box. It's all over the house. Mum's going to ring the vet tomorrow to see if there's anything she can do 🙀
On my BEES #Hedgewatch I kept an eye on the bluetits visiting our feeders until Thruxton appeared & frightened them away! We think they're nesting nearby & Mr Bluetit is taking the suet to Mrs who is incubating the eggs as he'd be looking for caterpillars if they had babies to feed.
Sitting looking quietly out at our garden (sorry for the mess in our lean-to) & thinking of our wonderful friend Ben & his lovely mam #HedgewatchforBen We know Ben will be happy in the Rainbow Allotments which are as beautiful as his Magic Garden. Sending love to his mam 🐾❤️🌈 Oulton & Thruxton
The indignity! Bundled into a cage & taken to vet. It's a 15 minute walk & I sang loudly all the way there. Thought it was just my vaccination, but I was prodded about as I've had a bit of a urinary problem. Got to pee in some special litter to get a sample. Good luck with that mum😹
Look at this cheeky squizzer munching the bird fat balls. He's very agile, but we prefer seeing blue & great tits feeding. We get quite a few, but we also get greedy magpies, jackdaws & fat woodpigeons.
We found a big beastie in our garden! We think it's a hornet. I've told Thruxton not to chase it! Oulton 🙀
On this gorgeous spring day I'm doing both a CATNIP (laying on my catmint to protect it from intruders) & a FAB #Hedgewatch Mum has joined me outdoors & is sitting in a sunny corner of the garden reading 🌞 Thruxton
I had to post this as Oulton actually let me near him! Seconds later though he ran off 😸 Thruxton
Doing my BEES #Hedgewatch this afternoon. I'm determined to catch one of those pesky wood pigeons one day! 😺 Thruxton
Waiting for dad to come home from work. Hurry up dad! Mum has only served us tea 1 & 2. We must deserve tea number 3 😸
Happy Birthday to me. I'm 12! Mum & dad can't believe I've been with them for so long as I'm still their little boy. I was born in a cat rescue & adopted mum & dad when I was 8 months old. I've grown a bit since then, but that just means there's more of me to love ❤️ Oulton
If you zoom in you can see two fat woodpigeons at the far end of my garden. I was creeping up on them, but stupid mum came outside and they flew away. I'll get them next time! Thruxton 😸
