My latest read was How Retrosheet Saved Baseball History by @jaywigley.bsky.social. The book tells the story of how a team of volunteers built a valuable resource in Retrosheet for research into baseball history. Great read on the history behind the history, I highly recommend it.
The Mets are having Spider-Man Night and are making a T-shirt recreating the comic panel that I based my Spider-Met costume on. I must have this!
My grandfather's favorite baseball player was Carl Hubbell. When I was a kid, I gave him a Carl Hubbell card and he kept it in his wallet. When I grew up, I got myself a copy of that same card signed by King Carl himself. Baseball connects generations.
