SCS partnered with KTJUSD to provide an engaging and educational camp experience for students at Lava Beds National Monument. Students explored volcanic caves, learned about geology and local wildlife, and gained a deeper understanding of the area's rich cultural and historical significance.

Jack Norton Elementary school students recently took part in an Indigenous Science Camp focused on connecting youth with the land, ocean, & traditional Yurok knowledge. Throughout the trip, students explored the coast through tide pooling, coastal hikes, & learning about local plants and ecosystems.

This year's salmon run brought the community together in a powerful way. Families, youth, elders, and community members gathered along the river to celebrate, fish, share knowledge, and honor the importance of caring for the river and its resources. The river connects us all.
