I got an Aeropress for the office to save money but now I’m thinking of getting a pricey hand grinder and the projected savings keep slipping away.
There’s a recent paper describing the decrease in consumer sentiment among families that they attribute to the end of CTC. I’m sympathetic to the media theory and a sudden drop in sentiment among a large, discrete group of people does not seem inconsistent with that?
A window unit is better in high humidity. I did the bootleg dual hose thing a few years ago and while it worked, constantly emptying the excess water was very annoying.
In sum I do not feel great about this vote but I console myself with the knowledge that this margin of victory does not leave her much room to act insane and survive in 2028
Can’t believe you didn’t mention they tagged it as #wokeagenda and #wokeism. lmfao, what a joke.
Callais is a bad decision for many reasons but this intra/inter party distinction Alito makes is the dumbest. You are actually brain dead if you think this makes any sense. “The racists left and made their own racist party, so they can draw maps to advantage the racist party, and that’s not racist.”
As a Biden dem I think this is an unfair & needlessly angry attack on a mayor who has basically been a loyal partisan for what was, in context, a tactful dodge to a question designed to create intra democratic drama. “We know what we’re against. What are we for?” is an extremely banal critique
The Landmark Edition is good (translation/maps) but the huge number of footnotes is distracting. They’re visually hard to link w/ the text and the explanatory FNs are mixed in with a huge number of pointless reminders to look at the map. Like here, 10/14 FNs cite the map on the next open page. 3/3
An organization called "Track AIPAC" makes a scary graphic of Daniel Biss, who has received zero AIPAC dollars. You look at this & assume he is an AIPAC stooge. It is purposefully misleading and deceitful. If "Track AIPAC" tracked actual AIPAC spending, Biss would have a nice green graphic instead.
Inwood Hill is far and away the best park in Manhattan. On Saturday morning you can stop by the farmers market and then go look at some birds and a nice bridge.
I do not think that’s what she’s saying based on the post-script but rather she’s specifically against new electronics that purport to solve problems but don’t. But her determination for what is a useful electronic & what isn’t appears to be nothing more than “I don’t believe whatever tech bros say”
