We love preserves - and soups - with tomatoes. Here is a link on what we published so far (tomato recipe tag): cannedexperience.com?s=Tomato My favs this year: tomato preserve with soya sauce (you cannot even tell a soya sauce is there! But buy a good one without additives); also Hungarian Lesco😋
#whatscooking #foodies? Guess what… we made yet another jam. Okanagan peaches, local apricots (really small ones, unlike the peaches) and our own English lavender. 🍽️🫙👩🍳😋 And yes, yet another new label … from our ‘cute collection’ 😂🥹 Recipe: tomorrow. Happy Friday 💙🦋
Labelling your jams is NOT easy… we want them to be pretty! #labels. Does our hedgehog make sense at all??? 😂🥹

I live those - perfect for juice or syrup. Look elegant while being practical! Clips are “shareable” - I mean bw bottles :) I usually take them off next day after the jar was processed and store without any clips. Weck rocks!
Here's another delicious jam from last year: strawberry-rose petal. We canned in using atmospheric steam canner and in our fav. WECK jars. All who tried it ask us to make it again, asap. I see a U-pick in our future🍓🍓🍓 Another great Saturday breakfast 👩🍳🫙🍽️😋🍓🌹 cannedexperience.com/strawberry-a...
#whatscooking #foodies Weekday dinner idea: We made this creamy polenta with our own chicken stock (instead of water). We also used same broth to make a simple pan sauce to go on top. Served with pan fried chicken breast (w/ rosemary). 👩🍳🍽️😋🐓🌽 Chicken stock: cannedexperience.com/smoked-bone-...

Fellow canners: if you are like us - live in mountains - you must adjust your processing time & pressure to can safely. Why? Water boils at lower temperature in your kitchen! What’s your altitude band? How to adjust? We built a tool that helps to find out. 👩🍳🫙🍽️🗻 cannedexperience.com/digital-tool...
🫙🫑🥭🍍🍋🟩🌶️ every year we make savory pepper jams. First it was hot bell pepper jam, then mango yellow bell pepper jam, followed by pineapple red pepper jam. This year we made pineapple mango mixed pepper jam with lime and Caribbean inspired spices. Canned on Sunday - 2 jars are gone😋😃👩🍳 Recipe: soon.
Just looked it up. You are probably in US… learned something new today: they have special (yucky) US versions 🥺how odd

🔔New recipe alert! cannedexperience.com/mango-chutne... We made this smooth mango chutney (on a budget) 👩🍳 canned it and then… used some to make our fav mussels recipe. It is flavourful (just look at these spices!), sweet & savoury. Great addition to your condiments collection #foodies 🍽️🥭 cheers!🥂
Happy Monday #foodies🍽️ We made another chutney! 👩🍳🫙Last year you showed a lot of love to our Major Grey mango chutney. Our new Smoothie Mango Chutney is coming soon! It’s so addictive our elderly relative is putting it on everything, even grilled cheese🥭 Trust us, you need this recipe. Dropping soon
#whatscooking #foodies? We made Mushroom duxelles risotto with creamy chicken. Easy peasy. Duxelles are our own from early March batch. Link - down the thread.👇We used non-fancy imperfect button mushrooms for the last batch - it keeps on giving 😋👩🍳🍽️🍄🟫🍄🟫🍄🟫
I am going in the opposite (Italian) direction to make my pasta dough: no water (or a spoon if dough gets too thick) and lotsa eggs. 😀 love making pasta actually. I use Kitchenaid to make the dough. Will attach my recipe in case it maybe helpful. Good luck!
