Without saying your age, what is your favourite movie released the year you turned 18
Gamers! Share a GIF of one of your favorite childhood games! (my first gaming system was my dad's old Acorn Electron, I still have the cassette tape that this ran on 👀)
It's also part of my favourite running gag on Young Justice.
I need them to play it the way that McAvoy and Fassbender played Xavier and Magneto. If I'm not eyes emoji / rainbow flag emoji every time Ilya and Solo interact, you're doing it wrong. 👀 🏳️🌈
Okay, hear me out, it's been a decade since the Man From UNCLE reboot... 👀
Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I have the official stand-alone controller from Nintendo. Mostly for laziness (it lives on my sofa) but it serves me pretty well, feels like a normal controller. Haven't used it for anything as fast paced as Hitman though.
Being disabled and relying on social media for your human interaction fucking sucks, man. There's no nuance here. I miss being able to chat about things with people who aren't going to assume you are The Worst Human Who Ever Lived ™️ based on your movie opinions or your Pluto hot takes.
Can't sleep, so watching the first episodes of Maul – Shadow Lord. Love how this guy's mask and outfit makes him look like Daredevil. 👀
Catching up on the Artemis II Q&A from yesterday. Astronauts are often a cute and goofy bunch, but this crew seems like an especially adorable combo. What a great start to this new era. 🥺
It is a small thing, but seeing the NASA and ESA logos side by side on a rocket aimed at the Moon gives me warm fuzzy feelings.
Percy Jackson casting Ming-Na Wen and Jennifer Beals as Hera and Demeter... okay okay. 👀 Temuera Morrison next, please? 👀
A pair of starfighters. Jedi starfighters. Only two. Two is enough. Two is enough because the adults are wrong, and their younglings are right. Though this is the end of the age of heroes, it has saved its best for last. — Revenge of the Sith (Matthew Stover)
Me: <exhausted, trying to sleep> Brain: ...okay but what if Old Man Shran shows up on the SNW Enterprise to one-up Carbon Creek by revealing that first contact was actually with Vikings, and that's why Vulcans, Tellarites, and Andorians are basically Elves, Dwarves, and Frost Giants? 👀
Watching a random Enterprise episode for insomnia reasons — it's such a shame we never got to see Ambassador V'Lar again. Her backstory with the Andorians would have been great in the Babel / Coalition arcs, she should have wound up Shran so much (and actively enjoyed doing so)!
Another cool birthday with a Trek connection for today is Albert Scott Crossfield. He was one of America's first hypersonic test pilots during the early days of the space race, and is who the Crossfield-class is named after.
Also, felicitations to my favourite Captain and one of the coolest people I share a birthday with, Avery Brooks. Hopefully one day I will have the opportunity to shake your hand and thank you for all the comfort and inspiration you have provided over the years. I would not be me without you.
I am officially number of minutes you can maintain an active wormhole years old, I guess that's kinda neat.
Wait, you mean the notoriously American thing that most other countries don't do turns out to maybe not be the best way of doing things? Gasp. 😱 It's a good job that this definitely doesn't apply to anything else about the United States.
I am too sporadic at movie watching to do this every week, but...
