As of 10:55 am, Wednesday July 22, 2026, I am retired. ( Even though the business is now closed, I am keeping the name, etc. private so it's removed for the picture.) #retirement
My breakfast was a whole 30 minutes late! Mommy is in trouble now. She made an excuse about sleeping in but humans get too much sleep anyway.
Trixie Revna also has a pop-up cube & a box to hide in that came from Aldi. We refer to that as her store & that she's gone shopping when she's in it.
#catsofbluesky Trixie is home! Because she knows me already, I think she'll adjust to he4 new home pretty quickly. She did really well on the 4 1/2 car ride home & she's been exploring my house a bit.
On this day, May 1, 1989. My heart shattered into a million pieces. My dearest friend, my non-romantic soul mate, left this world. He was only 26 & in no way deserved what he went through. Today, I'll look up to the sky & say his name. (Robert, I will miss, mourn & love you forever & beyond.)
Mutant mushrooms in the container I bought yesterday. It was part of my lunch today, but it was very strange in appearance. #mutantfood
My Singer One sewing machine, ValkryieFreya, is off the storage shelf and on my work table. She's ready to work! I have a few sewing projects I want to do. She is decorated with stickers, floral & my ever-present beloved spiders. #sewing
In case anyone needed a little mood lift today. My daffodils are blooming. #springflowers
It needs to be fluffed & decorated. Spider* is always first. Sweetie's tree. My late mother in law was Sweetie to the kids, my daughter named her that. She gave me her tree in '22, when her alzheimers was starting to worsen. She knew I'd love it like she did. And I'll always love her.🧵 #alzheimers
#veteransday Lest we forget. Pictures 2-4 are my Dad (DDay Omaha Beach, wounded later in France) and the flag that draped his coffin in 2004. My brother, late brother-in-law, father-in-law, many relatives were/are veterans. No matter what orange & his lackeys think, we owe our veterans everything.
My grandcat Gygax da Boi unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge this morning. He is now laid to rest in their backyard, wrapped in a blanket with Cherokee symbols and a few Indian rituals. We are heartbroken. He was 7 years old. #petsarefamily
My nephew's sign, he is at a Dallas area protest. I'm not sure where exactly, not in Dallas but somewhere in that general area. I'm proud of him. #nokingsday
I got this in change the other day. I have a few, I keep them. They were just fun things. Now? They are relics of a nation that doesn't truly exist anymore. #nokings
We're dog sitting for a relative that had a medical crisis yesterday. I forgot a dog in the house means you never go to the bathroom without an escort. Lucky was rescued from a hoarding situation. He's senior of unknown age. He goes to his daycare today, probably for a couple of days. #adoptdontshop
Got my flu shot today. At most, I'll be a little tired & maybe a slight headache. But any reaction is better than getting the flu. #vaccinessavelives
This is the flag that draped my father's casket 2004. My dad DDay vet fought the nazis in France. I refuse to let his & fellow soldier's efforts & sacrifices be in vain or forgotten. 🧶 #trumpisatraitor
What I'm doing today. Making letter size paper with boss's late dad's name into smaller note paper for boss's paper holder. The paper cutter goes with me when we close in 6 weeks so I'm using up old letterhead. It's therapeutic.
I'm enjoying my morning coffee in my patio, by my somewhat messy rock garden. I have plans to be neaten & enlarge it, but it is deliberately not cultured and perfect. It's meant to be fun and silly. #spendtimeoutdoors
I over-filled my yarn stash while I get ready to retire. I have 2 specific projects & I don't have either color!!! I need to go buy more yarn!#crochet
Ii rearranged my bookshelf, these are the books I haven't gotten to yet. I'm building up my craft supplies and books before I retire at the end of September. While women are still allowed to buy books, that is. #stopproject2025
Any day that starts out with spiders is good day! Today's little cutie came up to me so I gently relocated her to my front yard. She'll have a better chance of finding food. Sorry the picture isn't the best. #spidersareourfriends
Sent from my nephew, I thought he was going to Dallas but he actually went to 2 protests today. This is from Denton, TX. My other nephew lives on Delaware, he went to one there. #nokingsday
Help Grammy, mommy was so mean! She said I didn't need a 2nd breakfast, can you believe that? #orangecats
Northern Flicker Mockingbird (I think red cast variety) in Tulsa, OK this morning. #birdsofoklahoma
My giant grand-cat Gygax da Boi and his pawrents,my daughter & son-in-love. Gygax is a squishy, loving marshmallow. #orangecatsofbluesky
My grand-cat, Gygax da boi, did not think it was necessary to be awakBoi, on this rainy morning. He was not pleased with his mommy (my daughter) disturbing his slumber. #catsofbluesky
