They scrambled to figure out how to proceed once I made my nomination. Then they tried to move directly to the vote. I spoke up and asked, "Don't we get to hear from the candidates?" and Rodneyse said NO. Sorry for the shaky video, I was busy!

Found this big, jagged plastic shard in my CookUnity meal tonight! It didn't come from either of the condiment cups that accompanied my meal, so it must have broken off in the kitchen during prep, somehow found its way into my meal, and no one noticed before sealing it up 🫣

The jagged shard of plastic that I found buried in my spicy gochujang tofu rice bowl from CookUnity. It appears to be broken off from the bottom and side of a condiment cup (but not one of the condiment cups that came with my meal, since those were intact).

And I'm *extra glad* that the article includes this important explanation of why the party's opaque finances are such a central problem:

"I'm worried, because we don't really have much transparency currently in how much money is in housekeeping accounts and in the accounts they can use for candidates. None of us have any idea, because we were never told any of this stuff."

He also said he was worried that current party leadership could use the financial handover to throw a wrench in the future of the party, out of spite.

"It's a real worry that we're going to take a party chair position with a new person, and the existing machinery will be like, 'Well, actually, you owe Bichotte Hermelyn $200,000 for some vague consulting thing,' or, 'You've had the Democratic Party office there for eight years. Turns out you owe half a million dollars in back rent.' Who the fuck knows?"

Hanna added, "I'm worried that it's going to be something like that, where they're not going to be like overtly antagonistic, but they'll fuck it up by doing something screwy on the back end, just to be petty. We'll see, but I would be remiss if I didn't say I was concerned, because it's a fucking mystery."
