Was privileged to see a male and female Honey Buzzard this morning at Marsh Lane, Worlingham, thanks to Andrew Easton for finding them late yesterday and my brother Barry for the photos, they eventually flew NW into Norfolk

Just back from an interesting cruise to Bay of Biscay, southern Irish sea and English Channel was excellent for Shearwaters, enjoyed best views ever of Great also Cory’s, Balearic, Sooty and loads of Manx. This Poplar Hawkmoth came onboard in Bay of Biscay. Red Squirrel on Tresco

Hudsonian Godwit on Minsmere south scrape late today, it was a first for Suffolk, watched it fly off high south with 20+ Black-tailed Godwits at 5.50 pm, 2 Roseate Terns also
Highlight of my holiday to Loch Tummel in Scotland there was a beaver lodge near the hotel and managed some good views with patience, took this clip on my phone, also Butterfly and Marsh Orchids in hotel grounds
Great to see a male and a female Red-backed Shrike today, the male on Westleton Heath (thanks to Jeroen van der Kooij for the photo) and the female on Dunwich Heath
Sorry to hear that Baz Harding passed away yesterday in his care home in Aylsham, he was well known on the Norfolk birding scene
2 summer plumaged Curlew Sandpipers this evening on Peto’s Marsh, Carlton (thanks to Rob Holmes)
It’s a good year for Bee Orchids found 3 new sights along the Beccles southern bypass. Yesterday at Minsmere the Gull-billed Tern showed really well at Island Mere

An interesting couple of days with the Red-footed Falcon at Carlton Marshes which was very elusive amongst about 14 Hobby, and yesterday at Minsmere 3 Spoonbills flew in from the south but very quiet for waders, then later a Turtle Dove was a pleasure to listen to (pics by Barry)
