My scheduled Afternoon and Evening Landscapes photo tour, which was supposed to be about astro photography ended up hazy and cloudy. Instead, we had a great evening photographing the trolls after hours during this Wild Center photo tour! (Tupper Lake, NY)
On Saturday morning 8/1/26, the cirrus clouds in the sky above the High Peaks glowed with soft warm pastel tones as they caught the early rays of the rising sun. This was captured at 5:41AM.

A wider view of Saturday morning's sunrise light as it rose above the High Peaks and began to light the landscape at the south end of the lake. A panorama is best viewed as large as you can get it on your screen.
I was up early this morning for a paddle on a wild lake near the High Peaks. I arrived for dawn light, and caught this angle on my Hornbeck canoe and the rising sun just before 7 this morning.

Shelving Rock Falls - taken during Saturday's Lake George area photo tour. It was a beautiful soft light day, perfect for photos of the falls, along the brook, and over a calm Lake George at the end of the day.
Dawn light over the High Peaks from Wright Peak on 3/3/26. This was taken at 6:10 AM and the eclipsed moon is very soft in the sky above the distant snow capped peak on the right on the pano.
The eclipsed full 'Worm Moon' at 6:03 this morning, captured one minute before the 6:04 timing of totality. I was watching the various stages of the eclipse as I was snowshoeing up Wright Peak this morning. Weather cooperated to get this photo and a few others, but then disappeared behind clouds.
