Programmatically recreating indices is important for setting up Elasticsearch clusters in a consistent way during deployments, as well as spinning up environments for testing. I've been doing exactly that today with @elastic.co Workflows.

The obvious advice for vibe engineering at @cityjsconf.bsky.social London. The majority of these look similar to advice from traditional engineering practices such as trunk-based development. Especially commit often and use (hopefully short-lived) branches.

Interesting point on access controls for AI telemetry information here at KubeCon. We share all sorts of personal information with agents. Not everyone needs access to full prompts and outputs. PII sanitation is also important just as we do with logs.

I came across an interesting read on head-based probabilistic sampling in OTel SDKs. For Node.js it's the default. You just need to configure the sampling rate. In @elastic.co EDOT it's via sampling_rate or OTEL_TRACES_SAMPLER_ARG. OTel SDK code in image. Article: www.elastic.co/observabilit...

What tools are people using for debugging Grok expressions? I used to default to tools such as regex101.com. But this week I've been quite impressed with generating expressions using the AI generated pattern feature in @elastic.co Streams, or even Cursor CLI.
