Got a really good haircut this week and did my makeup for girls’ night (WITH MY LEFT HAND btw 💅)
(TW - healed surgical incision + dead skin) At least I remembered to bring my exfoliating mitt to the hospital and got to scrub the absolute FUCK out of the dead skin/crusties on my arm before they re-casted it. Real satisfying tbh
Should I write I SURVIVED MY CAR ACCIDENT BECAUSE GOD ENJOYS LAUGHING IN MY FUCKING FACE real big across my new cast, which I will have for “3 weeks” as they’ve already told me 2 previous times, so I can only assume has to mean the rest of my life?
Everyone at the hospital when I show up for follow-up appointments/x-rays and I have a cast on, which was installed at this hospital, on this exact floor, after surgery (also at this hospital) in June
We had the best day despite the heat and he bought me a little alligator statue that holds a wine bottle 🐊💕
I love that even at 11.5 years old, Crouton’s still got that spicy glint in her eye that says “play with me or I will Bork‼️” 🥹

Our last foster Pearl was returned to rescue 💔 she was increasingly afraid a family member (not on purpose or their fault— just a loud young man which was a bad combo for her) and her anxiety got really bad. It was the right thing and they tried for a long time. I wish I could hold her 🥲
Today is Crouton’s 11th gotcha day, so here’s us on her first night home + this morning ❤️❤️❤️ my baby angel, my stinky, the best big sister, and truly my soulmate. I love you Crou 💕
Have been instructed by PT to practice my thumbs up, which feels like insult to injury considering I have maybe 10% of my normal rotation in this arm and I’m pissed off about it
new cast is so tight that my hand has ballooned and is turning grey 😃 so I get to pay another $55 copay 😃 for them to fix it 😃 I am never going to have money again in my life 😃 and possibly not a working hand either 😃
Everything I want to say would get me a wellness check so instead here is a picture of my new cast that I’ll have for an additional “3 weeks” (surprise!) because my ulna is not healed enough yet
My baby girls came over for a few hours today and I think they approve of the new couch 🥺 I miss them so so much. It was sweet to be together ❤️

Bionic bitch checking in! I had my surgical follow-up and everything looks good. I did start sobbing when the cool alt x-ray tech took my splint off, which will haunt me forever, but it was surreal to see this weak, dirty little noodle where my regular arm should be. Now in the blue cast for 3 wks!
I really miss my girls 💔 they aren’t coming to live with me until I have two working arms, which makes sense but also feels like ass during an emotionally difficult time
