2nd beer, and 2nd WCIPA, is Thornbridge/Stone West Side Glory 7%.
Three beers as I follow the match through posts on here, two West Coast IPAs and a stout. First WCIPA is Burnt Mill Mirror Of The Sky 4.6%.
The anti-Amnesty EDM has a fifth signature, Mary Glindon, Labour
A second consecutive day's decent swim (2.3k yesterday, 2.5k today) is rewarded by a homemade chicken and bacon pasty with spuds, veg and onion gravy accompanied by a De Ranke Simplex. I know I don't normally drink Wednesdays but as I'll be having a couple tonight for the match...
"Verify your age" I was at Maine Road watching David Pleat's manic celebratory dance when we stayed up and put Man City down instead.
Finishing the evening on a 10%er that's been sitting in my cupboard for a while - Quintine Vintage 2021: Rhum de Jamaïque which is Quintine de Noël aged on rum barrels for 5 months. 7/10
My third swim of the week is rewarded by pizza and Elusive/ @tomstapandbrew.bsky.social Whispering Trail 6% West Coast IPA.
Lunch is pork frikadellen with fried eggs, chips and veg. Accompanied by Weihenstephan Hefeweisbier Dunkel 5.3%.
Lunch is penne with a tuna and veg sauce (where veg is to a large degree using up all my oddments to avoid having to go shopping today!) accompanied by a Westmalle Extra.
A few pictures from last night's CBG shenanigans at Ealing Beer Festival. Note the obvious man at the front of the first picture 🤬 (if you saw the previous version of this post that called us CBF, no you didn't)
Dobber 26 6.5%, half of Perivale Falconers Flight 6% (pictured)
I mean my dress could obviously be taken either way so it's an entirely justifiable mistake. Not.
#TransOnTrains Off to a @craftybeergirls.bsky.social meetup at Ealing Beer Festival.
Farage resigned, Le Pen & Trump humiliated. Only one option with my lunch - a beer. Up yours fascists!
Second half beer is a Brussels Calling! along with a little bit of Belgian cheese to hopefully help seal the deal.
Watching my first (and possibly only) match of the WC. The beer tells you what team I'm supporting.
My old pub (Ale House in Chelmsford) has the handpumps at the back of the bar. The keg fonts are still on the bar top but it's less cluttered than many.
Back indoors for my third as it's getting a bit cooler outside now. Going Dutch with a Van Moll Groove Is In The Heart 9.5% Woodford Reserve BA Quad. Best before last Dec but apart from needing some excess carbonation swirled out it's not surprisingly fine.
Saturday evening in the garden starts with a Keikoppenbier.
Lunch of pizza and a Burnt Mill Stones & Ruins 8% DIPA.
Third and final beer tonight is De La Senne Jambe-de-Bois triple.
Tonight's 3 Belgians are all very different from each other. From a sour IPA to Troubadour Westkust 8.5% black IPA. #BIPAComeback
