Obsessed with the okra I’m growing in my community garden plot. It flowers for a day & then the okra comes in behind it. It’s a total experiment, a micro harvest is likely (10 okra total?) ha. It’s all part of the beauty and fun.
My boy (left) and cat grass growing for my boy (right). He loves that stuff soooo much.
My okra in Maine experiment if going well so far! Might be a micro harvest but still beautiful, no?
This photo from this article below, is America (D.C.) today and it deserves a Pulitzer.
This week has been hell on wheels. Today my (soul) cat disappeared. In the extreme heat . I cased the whole neighborhood, searched high/low, no luck. The cat rescue lady told me to look in box spring beds, I was in tears at this point & yes, him. Here’s Sim, cool & unbothered post disappearing act
Cleome, beats, Shisho! Some of what I’m growing this year. Not pictured (okra, tomatoes, red lettuce, dill, cauliflower , some squash, calendula!)

Foggy daze along the Maine coastline - you’d never know there are islands out there.
Still feeling the vibes from Amyl and the Sniffers in Boston this week! Also kinda regret not buying those Yuca Puffs with Cheese at the Portuguese grocery store! Next time!
Honored our short documentary THE INCREDIBLE PAULK, about visually impaired competitive surfer Aaron Paulk, screens this Sun afternoon at Lighthouse International Film Festival, on Long Beach Island, a barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean coast of New Jersey. WAVES + happy bday to Aaron today.
