The Singing Ringing Tree above Burnley #Lancashire. You can just hear the singing of the 'tree' over the wind noise in this short video. And this wasn't even a windy day!
Sending sympathy for your disrupted journey. Mint tea often wakes me up, so I hope it works some magic for you and a cherry croissant sounds delicious. Here's a lakeside path to distract you for a moment ⏬️
Hi @mainebogboy.bsky.social 😊👋 I like your flower gift today. We're on a different hill with lots of flowers and butterflies. It's still sunny!
Hi Yaroslava from northwest England. I think I look at paintings differently under your tuition. Anna krüger-Prahova has captured something beyond the obvious with this painting. There is resting and weariness mingled with deep sorrow maybe. Thank you for sharing this. From my day I offer you ⏬️
Hello Yaroslava from northwest England. That imagery is such fun, the reeds playing the music. I love it. Thank you Yaroslava and lovely to hear from you today. The sun is setting here on another sunny day. We climbed mountains so I am weary. I hope you sleep well.
Hello Yaroslava from northwest England. What a beautiful place. I had headphones on and could hear the birds singing to you. I'm looking forward to reading about another interesting place in Ukraine. I'm sharing a flower from my garden ⏬️. It hasn't rained for over a week but it is doing okay.
Hello Yaroslava from northwest England. Enjoy your book. I'm reading too and with #warcoffee but I'm indoors with the fan keeping me cool. We went down to the sea earlier. The tide was out and there was the hint of a breeze across the expanse of sand.
Hi Jim and thank you for a pretty flower. Earlier in the week we went to an art exhibition where a friend who is a potter was showing some of her pieces. I'll show you how talented she is ⏬️
Hi Jim. I hope you feel better today and thank you for an Orono photo. I'm in town looking for gifts😊 but yesterday I was here!
I see Kyiv lives and life goes on even in war. This huddle of friendly ducks made me smile. I hope it works for you too, just for a moment.
Morning Yaroslava from northwest England. I'm so sorry to hear what an awful night it was and happy to hear from you. I'm sharing my first #warcoffee with you, as I have before and thinking of those lives halted prematurely and others whose day has been turned upside down.
Some think that the #LakeDistrict is too busy and you can't get away from the crowds. On our walk at the weekend up St Sunday Crag we did meet a couple of people but mostly we were in glorious isolation.
Hi Jim 😊👋 The milkweed is pretty. That sounds sensible not to stand outside in hot weather. Stay cool and here's a pretty orchid I spotted recently.
Not the thickest trunks for #ThickTrunkTuesday but I like the light and shade and the weaving footpath through and among the trees.
Hello Yaroslava from northwest England. It isn't surprising your perspective on the warm weather has changed after your hard winter. Enjoy your sunny weather #warcoffee. I'll join you later. I've been gardening as it is a bit cooler here today. This lavender bush is so colourful I had to share it.
Hello Yaroslava from northwest England. I searched for your book and wonder if it is hopeful or pessimistic about our future. I'm not always strong enough for such subjects! You may notice I'm home. The 1st thing I do is see our garden. I love the contrast of this fading rose & the newer blooms.
Thank you and yes, I love being in France. Here's a view of the coast ⏬️
Gallic granite stile with wooden steadies, yellow path marker, lichen and beach. This Normandy beauty has got it all! @lakesstiles.bsky.social
Hello Yaroslava from France. I have greedily read your letter with your thoughts on Poltava. I will read it again more slowly and with consideration soon. Bright pink flowers on granite rocks to brighten your evening over there. The Dnipro River looks cool and gorgeous.
Hello Yaroslava from France. Those young faces break my heart. I always stop at war memorials in villages and towns we visit and pay my respects. Every death from war is a tragedy. I'm sharing my photograph of summer life, not too forget death but to remember life.
Hello Yaroslava from France. I'm sorry to have missed seeing and hearing about Kyiv Pechersk Lavra. I've been out cycling. I stopped at a pretty church and this window with the dove of peace put you in my thoughts. I keep hoping for peace in Ukraine.
Hello Yaroslava from France. Welcome back home to your favourite #warcoffee. Warcoffee French style for me today. Your head must be buzzing with ideas for writing but first you need to greet Victory (still a cat) of course 😊
Good morning Jim 👋😊 One of the medieval gates in Southampton for you.
Thanks @stuartmaconie.bsky.social for inspiring us to visit Southampton in the footsteps of JB Priestley and you! We read The Full English. A great read and Southampton did prove to be a great city to walk around.
A tree of many thick trunks for #ThickTrunkTuesday This cedar has spread through a Hampshire graveyard, creating a comforting space among it's trunks.
Hello Yaroslava from southern England. Five more families grieving today because of russia's greed 💔. The beauty and vibrant colour of a wild rose is my gift today. Sent in sorrow and solidarity 🇺🇦
Hi Jim. Thank you, yes he seemed a good soul. The flowers are pretty. There are lots of wild cherries ripening here.
