The sky in Vermont has been yellow-gray and ominous. My heart goes out to Canada, which for the past several summers has had terrible wildfires. 🇨🇦 🤍❤️
Okay, slime mold friends, is this a Fuligo, possibly septica? Color is not great in photo, it’s more yellow than that. I’m loving what appear to be bird prints in it!

Any recommendations for a fungi field guide? The one I have now, Audubon, has a copywrite date of 1981. Gotta believe there have been some taxonomic changes since then!
This is less than 24 hours later. What happened to all the vein-y bits? Looks as though they simply disappeared! 😮 (Quite a bit less creepy.)
