this girl has been cracking me up. She’s very outgoing and social, she wants to be in the middle of everything! She’s also the biggest of her litter of 11, by far. Women in male dominated fields!
the new camp carter crew has been here for two days already! I’ve spent the past two days focusing on a routine, letting them have plenty of quiet nap times, and soaking lots of kibble for puppy mush.
When I had my garage redone I envisioned having it full of puppies. That’s coming true! The animal shelter where I live is at max capacity. These babies were brought in & desperately needed a rescue to pull them. I can’t resist pittie babies! A litter of 11 & a litter of 6. 17 sweet lives saved.
I had two very good assistants helping me get the camp carter puppy suites cleaned & ready!
it’s football o’clock with the happiest boy. The squeaker on Foscoe’s new football broke which is really a public service for the whole street. That thing was LOUD.
She’s the best girl and didn’t put up a fuss at all. I’m sure she prefers to stay at home rather than have to go to the groomers too! Here’s her after. She’s ready for summer!
I got tired of dropping a small fortune on Luna’s grooming appointments especially since I just have her shaved, nothing fancy. I decided to try to do it myself and it was much easier, and looks better, than I expected! Here’s her before, a fuzz ball. After is in the comments!
The last couple months have been filled with friends, travel, live music, good food, and so much more. Burn out in animal rescue is so real and this break has been good for my soul. My cup is full & im so glad to be back at camp carter!
Tadpole is never far from my mind. I wish we could have seen her grow up 💔 my favorite little menace.
She was pretty out of sorts from the sedation but was able to finally go to sleep, and this evening she happily ate dinner!
Luna’s dental work went well and she’s back home recovering! She had EIGHT rotten teeth pulled. Most of them were in the very back of her mouth where we couldn’t see. Now her remaining teeth are clean and she’s going to be feeling better with those yucky ones outta there!
Luna will probably never forgive me for sharing these pics with the internet, but yall need to see this 😭 when I picked her up from the vet her normally airplane ears were sticking up! I’ve never seen her ears do this, she looked like an imposter 😂
sweet Luna is at the vet this morning for a dental cleaning! She has a loose tooth and I suspect some that need to be pulled. We’d appreciate some good vibes that it goes smoothly! She was NOT pleased that she had to skip breakfast this morning.

the hat pack (my litter of Great Pyrenees pups) turned one today! Time flies!! I got these pics from their families today! I love when pups go home to families that really love and cherish them.
I’m seeing lots of fledglings hoppin around this week, so I’m sharing the below graphic in case you’re like me and always feel you need to intervene 😂 they are mostly fine to be left alone!
