I haven't completed a traditional drawing in pencil in years after switching mostly to digital. There was a few times I almost gave up in the sketch phase, so I'm proud of myself for seeing it through. Its been genuinely healing to work on this and pour my heart for these two. #Arthuriana

WIP “Sir Gawain” I was looking at my painting of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight again. I started it back in December of 2023 and work on it usually during Christmas time. I really like how Gawain is turning out so I wanted to share a preview of him in the current draft! #Arthuriana

Sir Gawain holds the green girdle of Lady Bertilak with the Green Knight looming behind him (though he is mostly cropped out in this preview).

Gawain has red hair cut above his shoulders and is dressed in crimson colored clothes and hauberk. The top layer is a dark bluish purple mantle embroidered in gold.

WIP Dionysus + Artemis & Apollo Concepts✍️ I'm FINALLY making progress on my Dionysus portrait I originally sketched years ago.

(Far left) Dionysus draft:
He has dark bluish purple skin with golden leopard spots and eye liner on his skin. The whites of his eyes are instead dark purple with golden irises.

His hair grows past his shoulders in thick ringlets in a dark purple that is almost black. Across his shoulders is leopard skin with the same color as his hair but with golden spots.

He is adorned in red grapes and green vines and golden jewelry with a circlet that has an amethyst grape pendant.

(Top Right) Artemis concept:
She has pale blue skin and eyes with glowing white irises/pupils. Her eyebrows are also silvery with pale silver marks on her face she wears a golden circlet with powder blue flowers adorning it and her hair. Her hair is a dark blue, almost black with silver highlights.

She wears on her shoulders the fur of a white deer and above her head floats a shining crescent moon.

(Top Bottom) Apollo concept:
He has bronze skin with golden eyes with glowing pale gold irises/pupils. His hair is a mix of golden and reddish gold to dark brown wavy hair that is adorned with golden accessories.

His accessories also include a golden laurel crown and sun earrings. His makeup on his lips and eyes are also different ranges of gold. Above his head floats a small shining sun.

I didn't get to post this for #TDOV yesterday since I was mentally at a very low point, but I'm still alive and that's something to celebrate. Every day is Trans Day of Visibility.🏳️‍⚧️

Originally a princess of Aragon, he is later blessed with divine transition from God when the lives of both him and his wife are threatened by his father-in-law. Here he is dressed by two angels after receiving his transition.

Sketched this the other night when I was sad.✍️🌌

Surrounding the characters is a sketched border designed filled with diamond patterns, apple branches, bees (and beehives), dragons and a stag to represent the sigils of the characters participating the group jousting challenge called the "Trial of the Seven".

Starting on the left is the largest portrait depicting Ser Duncan the Tall, behind him are smaller portraits of Tanselle and Egg(Prince Aegon).

In the foreground are full body figures of Raymund Fossoway being knighted by Lyonel Baratheon, the Lord of Storm's End so that he may join the fray.

Cropped at the bottom left side of the composition are the written vows every knight takes.

Death is ghostly green with matching pale wings. Half of their face begins to reveal a skull but is slightly covered by a dark semi-transparent veil. Their clothes and veil are a dark green that appears almost black and is lined/embroidered in gold thread and tasseled beads.

They wear a couple of gold rings on their hands with one bearing a bright red gem. Death gazes to the side, searching for their lover who leans above them from behind.

Love has pale red skin and flaming red wings and hair to match. Their hair is wavy and shoulder length, which is partially styled into a bow at the front and a top bun in the back of their head. Pinning their bun in place is a golden arrow hairpin placed in the bun with red gems and a pearl.

Love is dressed in dark maroon clothes with giant golden puffy sleeves with a flair of lace at the wrist. With one hand they reach to gently cup the face of Death, while the other holds a red rose by their beloved's head.

Today's walk was so fun! I found the perfect lil piece from a pine to take home that was lying on the sidewalk. Lots of birds were singing today cause it was warmer.☀️ And then on my way back home a red-shouldered hawk flew to a tree across the street from where I was and then flew over my head!😳✨

Yesterday I went on a walk to look for inspiration for my Three Friends of Winter art. Got close to finding all three, but I only saw pines and bamboo (I'm pretending the maple flowers are plum blossoms🤭). Also I found a lot cute pine cones and sweetgum pods!

❄️ Concepts: The Three Friends of Winter ❄️ My 1st Patreon post of the year is a collection of concept art for a trio of fox spirits part of my "Fox Flora" series based off the "Three Friends of Winter" motif. tinyurl.com/conceptsthet...

On the right side in the background is Pine who is the eldest with some signs of aging in their face.
