Aw, what’s that? A crash and lane closure on I-90? Too bad for you, suckers! (Yes I know I shouldn’t post this like 5 min after the second train derailment this month but gosh this feels good and this is what this thing was MADE for)
Oof! Yeah that takes determination. Here’s my favorite photo. Not a view many got to have (and fortunately I didn’t get socked by the coming storm).
At the mandatory bike crossing at Blanchard, the bike path takes you straight into a curb. This seems dangerous and problematic. @seattledot.bsky.social is there a plan to remove this?
Saw a cool inclusive space created at Convict Lake near Crowley Lake, CA. Here’s an idea for what Coexist Lake WA could advocate for if they actually wanted to increase accessibility to natural space. Trail sign was at each end of trail.
Saw a great usage by the market the other day, complete with signs! Only negative is that I think it needs to be bigger to accommodate the obvious need.
Amazing evening out there with @crazystevied.bsky.social. Without a backyard anymore, we took our garden walk on the waterfront paths instead. Now tucked in for jazz. Seattle is amazing.
I was confused by the large range of settlements listed in this article. Obviously the details included are minimal but, like, $38M for one??
Awesome to run into this obstruction on the 4th Ave bike lane at 5pm today. Unclear why @seattledot.bsky.social is allowing this storage fully blocking the bike lane plus half the sidewalk. At Yesler.
It took until this evening, but I rode the Crosslake Connection! Wow. It’s been a long time coming and I am so proud to have been a (small) part of making it happen. These projects can be so hard, and take so long. It was so rewarding to see the masses and the excitement all day.
Is this Wikipedia page incorrect? I can totally believe if so, I just got myself all confused yesterday. Also, am I even correctly understanding “she/they”? I’ve always thought that was “I’m ok with either but don’t use he”. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carly_J...
It’s not the same and it’s short-term, but SOUTH BELLEVUE DTWN REDMOND look the same from afar. Removing downtown/DTWN would fix that. This photo is extreme but I’m like, is my train next or not next?
Anyone else buy a Link pillow from ST and realize the shape is totally wrong? See mine (carpet background) vs website. I can’t unsee it.
Today we walked 4 blocks to buy a Christmas tree from a local company whose owner, turns out, lives in our building. Rearranged the living room to focus on the fireplace (perfect cozy). About to go sit in the hot tub. Downtown condo living is going good.
Seen tonight on Long Island. IMO this is what the airport and many Link stops should look like. NORTH. SOUTH. To Seattle. To Tacoma (eventually). Etc. The end of the line is a detail (that often doesn’t matter because of transfer opportunities or when someone is getting off!).
I am ecstatic to announce our cat has finally realized that the giant poof by the fire is THE PERFECT place to lounge and has started doing so. (For two months he’s just kind of looked at the poof and moved on. Like a monster.)
Unclear why, but CPA has instituted a “every bag must go through x-ray” policy. But added zero additional x-rays. Check the one giant line and the 15 very short lines.
HEAD BONKS IN BASEBALL NOW??? I can’t take this (yes I can give me more I can’t get enough of it) GOMSSSSS!!!
A fun thing about living in the city are the reflected sunsets on the buildings
I heard you like rapid rides, so here’s 5 in 17 minutes. Just need to wait 13 min for the first one to arrive then BAM! World’s fulla Rapid Rides.
The real question tonight is: do Eddie and John know about ice cream nachos at TMobile? @pipershaw.bsky.social they need to know! And honestly CPA needs to add these to the menu.
If you ever wondered if Seattle Rep understood Seattle, see this page from their program for The Play That Goes Wrong (recommend!!)
Was baffled to find the right turn onto Lenora from northbound Elliott Way conflicts with the green bike light. This infrastructure was JUST BUILT and it’s set up with a dangerous conflict in which both parties have a green and zero signage indicating the conflict???
At Boston Logan there is a program where you can get a “ticket to skip” when you ride transit (bus or ferry!) to the airport. At security, there was a separate line (like, PreCheck, Clear, Transit Priority…) www.massport.com/logan-airpor...
