Sometimes doing nothing is doing something, and doing something is doing nothing. In both cases, what we choose to do or not do can have positive or negative consequences.

I saw our garbage collector this morning riding on back of the truck. He was singing full voice as the truck loudly roamed down the street. I waved and he smiled. It made me want to hop on the truck with him.
