New footage emerges of Thomas Tuchel working on strategy during the semi, and identifying space to squeeze in another defender.
Yeah, it's a really weird thing to care about. Presumably it's meant to be part of a bigger RW benefit cheats agenda, or strivers v skivers, but it's just giving me Britta.
Paris-Roubaix just went past this extraordinary church. The spire caught my eye first, but the angels on the corners doing a Harry Enfield "Calm down" bit are really something.
I got it, because I'm quite aware of US references by cultural osmosis, but even so, this meme is going to get some use.
Not much cryptic content, which may be a blessing. A key character is a legendary Times setter, known by a pseudonym even in the 90s. But in the story, she uses a Quick crossword to convey a message, and what we see of her cryptic skills doesn't inspire much confidence.
Just finished this book, and it feels rather Ludwig. Kind of nice, but also ridiculous, and probably easier to read if you don't know too much about the area.
😍 @unchcrosswords.com #2 safely arrived, and I think this is going to be kept somewhere special. (Showing what the passage of time can do - I just scanned the first few clues from this Catnip guy and I'm scratching my head.)
Do you know a logician who's trying to give up booze? I just saw the perfect sign!
Connections really didn't want me to continue my streak today. Ha! In your face, needlessly obtuse groups!
And this was the final product, or one of them. BTW: In the course of double-checking the narrator of The Grinch for trivia (if you don't know, look it up), I discovered that Thurl Ravenscroft, who sang You're A Mean One Mr Grinch, was also the voice of Tony the Tiger for most of his life.
I don't know what's going on with this. It's not hard to at least get the entries to join up in a grid of that size. I think it could probably go smaller with some work.
That's a coincidence. I was just wondering how Gollum's internship at the Graun was going.
Interesting to see Spoonerisms in the wild. A bit of research shows that the "Stuck Farmer" slogan is consistently coloured like this. Even stroppy farmers recognise the need to clearly indicate a Spoonerism.
For the record, 1:45. My watch had me 1:44 something, so I missed an extra landmark by the margin of extra running to get around people. 🥳
