Curly The Yoga Cat 🇨🇦
@catrescuefoster
Canadian Childless Cat Lady, fostering cats and kittens for my local cat rescues since my soul-kitty crossed the rainbow bridge in May 2020. I now serve 5 “foster fails” named Curly, Lucy, Foxy, Charm and most recently, Nova.
Nova ❤️. Such a sweet girl who only trusts me. I earned that trust with Churus. She is ok with being cat dad adjacent, while lying on the blanket next to me, but he can’t really pet her or pick her up. #caturday #rescue #fosterfail
Our two 9-day old orphans are doing well. We’re at letter H for naming. I thought Hannah and Hunter - the couple who adopted our last foster: little FIP survivor Gretchen (they adore her). It seemed meant to be that we have a girl and a boy, and we are at H names! Now on eyeball watch! #caturday
The newest fosters. Their mama is loved in a home, got out just before her spay surgery. Then she got a uterine infection when her babies were only 2 days old - no milk. Owner called the rescue. They were probably a couple days premature. Tube fed first (refused nipple), now taking the bottle well!
Curly was sooo happy when we got back from 2 weeks away. We missed him (and the rest of the cat fam) too! #caturday #catsofbluesky
Your post is the first one I saw!Happy Caturday and I hope you have a good day! #Caturday
Our sweet boy is feeling better and hopefully out of the woods from his subcutaneous emphysema. Lots of rest and quiet time and he seems more like himself. ❤️
Curly had a setback after routine dental cleaning, 1 tooth removed. Over-inflated cuff on the endo-tracheal tube = a weak spot on the trachea. A random treat 5 days later and his neck felt like bubble wrap, his tongue turning blue. Oxygen first, then x-ray confirmed air in his body. Send him hugs ❤️
Love the eyes in your photo. Reminded me of this picture of my cat!
Another protest against Doug Ford coming up. I’m sure more communities will join before May 30. Hopefully these continue to gather steam and grow. At least it could help to hold him accountable since there won’t be another election for a while.
Not quite as good as a stroller ride but reminds me of my girl who sticks her legs out like that.
Doug Ford doesn’t want the people who elected him to see what he and his cronies are up to and how they are helping his old white rich buddies get richer. I can’t stand this man. The left-leaning parties need to get their shit together.
Bob Gale was appointed the regional chair of Niagara. He was not elected to a position of representing Niagara region. He was corrupt Doug Ford’s pick. And now, a little over 2 months after he took the position, he resigns because he bought a *signed* copy of Hitler’s book.
Our foster Gretchen is going to be adopted! She’s been with us for 7 months and will be 1 year old this month. Her FIP recovery has gone well. She’s done with the observation period and is ready for her next chapter. Lucky for her - an amazing friend of ours is adopting her! #fipwarrior #catrescue
Big step for sure with him allowing pets and taking treats! I like to give them Churu from my fingers so they get used to my scent. Great progress! Happy #TongueOutTuesday from our foster Gretchen on her last day of FIP treatment. Caught this shot of her after her dose. She will be adopted soon!
Happy #Caturday from Curly and Foxy who made me laugh when I walked in to see them lying in exactly the same pose.
Happy #caturday from my sweet girl Nova. She came to us as a foster a little over a year ago, needing socialization. She had a gentle nature but was so scared. After getting her to trust me, I couldn’t send her to the shelter adoption centre. She sticks to me like glue and loves the foster kittens.
He doesn’t know geography well does he? Also probably doesn’t understand that the earth is a sphere. Russia and Canada are not close. The closest we are to Russia is THROUGH ALASKA. Greenland is also quite far from Russia and nowhere near China. We know it’s only about him taking natural resources.
I couldn’t decide which photo to use for #caturday. Curly looking so handsome or foster baby and FIP survivor Gretchen looking adorable as she snoozes on my legs. So - both it is!
Happy #TongueOutTuesday to you and Cookie from our foster Gretchen. She’s a FIP survivor currently in 3 month post-treatment observation before she can be adopted.
For me, the grief has stayed with me and probably will forever. My girl, my soul-kitty, Maggie crossed the rainbow bridge nearly 6 years ago in May 2020. I still cry when I think of her. There is no timeline and you may cry over him always. And that’s ok.
Wall Street Journal has picked up on the new language already. We will see this phrasing more and more as they normalize the plan.
Little miss Gretchen is almost finished 4 weeks of her 3 month observation period after 84 days of treatment for FIP. Feline Infectious Peritonitis used to be a death sentence for kittens and cats but now is legally treatable with GS-441524, which has also become more affordable for cat parents.
Even Canadian press is sane-washing. Quite the low-key headline for the shit-show. “He says economy is strong” they say - with zero indication that him saying it doesn’t make it true!
She’s so beautiful. I love the look on her face. Here’s our dilute calico named Foxy because of her fluffy tail.
Happy #Caturday back at ya from one of the foster cats. This is Chester. He is waiting for dental surgery and then hopefully a loving furever home.
Two years ago today we took little Charm for her surgery to repair a PRAA (birth defect resulting in a constriction around her trachea and esophagus). Now she’s a happy girl living her best life with all of her friends. We are always thankful to the rescue fundraising so she could get the surgery.
This was yesterday but is such a Caturday scene. 3 of the fosters catching some z’s. Grey is Ana - blind & waiting for adoption. Orange: Chester - still waiting for dental. And the little tabby Gretchen - 4 weeks into her 12 week treatment of FIP. Her brother Gilbert doesn’t snuggle! #caturday
